Restaurant wasn’t busy but seemed like the server had other things to do. Prepared food with hands but did not wash them at anytime. Oxtail was garbage, and partially microwaved so it was still cold.

I know a lot of places look like crap but then the food is amazing. This is not one of those places. When you walk in there is a Trini steel pan and it made me feel I would be taken care of. That is a lie. Ranee's is a disgrace to Trinidadians everywhere. The doubles were more like curry flavored cereal that had been sitting in milk for too long. The roti barely had anything in it. While the doubles were not eatable the curry goat eatable but that's it. What a waste of money!!

Sadly, a bad enough experience to warrant a review. First time here and ordered the large oxtail dinner for $20.50. I literally got 5 tiny pieces of oxtail with barely any meat on the bones. It looked like the actual oxtail bones had been halved or quartered. The container was 95% rice and potato. If this was a large, I shudder to think what a small for $18.50 would look like. Maybe the other food here is of decent value, but absolutely do not waste your money on the oxtail dish. In the restaurant's clear attempt to cut costs, they have ensured a brand new customer will never return.
