My wife came by yesterday to buy Doubles, and I must say, as a Trinidadian, I was strongly disappointed. The roti part was ok, but the curry and chick peas part definitely needs work. It shouldn't be so DRY it was coming apart literally. Words of advice: YOU NEED TRY TO BALANCE IT OUT. Try to keep it 20% dry and 80% wet. Remember and capture taste of the Islands.

I am a big lover of Rotis and have tried a fair amount of places across GTA. This isn't the place which satisfies my cravings. I tried chicken roti with medium spice but it had too many potatoes and less chicken. Also. Chicken used was kind of pulled chicken. Not good. The good roti places use chicken thighs.

Ordered the chicken roti, too little meat and mostly stuffed with potatoes. Ate inside but the restaurant just reeked of temple incense. Could barely eat half way.. then my cloths stunk of temple incense after.

I went for the Goat Roti, the place where I usually go in Oakville was closed on Monday when I visited the Town. Just didn't taste like every Roti thst I have ever had. There must have been a spice missing out of the mix. Just wasn't there, to want me to go back.

If you haven't tried Ranees Roti, I highly recommend it. My wife and I drive from Milton specifically to enjoy this delicacy. We fancy ourselves foodies and this is a place that we never get tired of. Always delicious and extraordinarily made. Hidden gem!!!

Had a medium heat butter chicken roti; it was absolutely delicious — can’t wait for my next one. For those less experienced with spice, beware that their medium really packs a punch!Would have liked to use metal utensils on a proper plate rather than plastic ones on a paper plate when eating in-restaurant, but that is minor. Service was kind and friendly.

Some of the top goat roti i ever tasted. Melts in your mouth. People complaining about lack of curry taste, jerk chicken issues or store bought patties dont know much about West Indian food. The tame usage of curry is a cultural thing. If you want a strong curry taste, get a roti or dosa at an east Indian place that serves food from India. This restaurant is really a Trinidadian spot. Personally , i love the West Indy/Caribbean take on curry dishes more then East Indian. And since this is a trini place, you cant expect their Jerk or patties, which are Jamaican dishes, to be what they are known for. Im sure they include it because the market asks for it and not because its something they have expertise in. Its a Trini spin on it as well. And Jamaican patties are 90% store bought from the 2 or 3 main bakeries in GTA. Very few make their own from scratch. I live downtown TO and wish there was a Trini Roti spot closer i could indulge in. All the decent ones are long gone.
