Starbucks is a trendy but pricey place. Drinks are good, but the food is high-priced for something that is removed from a plastic bag and served or heated up in a microwave right in front of the customer, not exactly the best quality. The service is usually pretty good overall, but there is often no place to sit inside. Snacks and desserts are too sweet and lacking in flavor, and there are no decent gluten-free options. Microwaved breakfast sandwiches turn them into hot mush, and the espresso has become too bitter, though asking for a blonde espresso can be acceptable.
