My daughter found a picture of a “heritage” cake she wanted for her 16th birthday party. Sweet bakery Oakville was recommended to us, so we contacted them, sent a picture, they said they could match the cake and have it ready in two weeks… great!
Picked up the cake and was super impressed with the presentation, looked perfect as you can see in the pictures… My daughter wanted a red velvet interior with buttercream frosting, unfortunately the cake did not taste as good as it looked, so much so people didn’t finish their slices, the cake was dry, and the frosting overly sweet and gritty…. Really disappointing.
Great piece of art work but missed completely on taste…. And this was not a cheap cake!
After pictures, the rest of the cake is going in the garbage….. sad really

I have been a customer of Sweet! bakery since I moved into the area 14 years ago. Cupcakes are ALWAYS moist and the icing here is not your run of the mill typical buttercream frosting. It is pure magic. Creamy, rich, comforting, delicious and always the perfect frosting to cake ratio. I always look forward to the newest flavour combination but also love some of her staples. Do yourself a favour and try: chocolate salted caramel, butterscotch ripple, coconut or lemon. Over the years we have used Sweet! to celebrate many occasions in our family and our business. She has made the most beautiful creations in cakes and themed cupcakes. A party is never complete without a masterpiece from this bakery.
This establishment from my experience was unreliable had terrible customer service and didn’t accommodate or own their mistake. I can’t speak for the taste of their cupcakes or atmosphere since they screwed up that terribly to be able to say. It ruined and stressed me out for the event I was trying to put together. Wouldn’t recommend using them for something very important.
I was told I had until a certain day to put my custom cup cake order in . I called that morning to finalize the details and was told I could not get a customize order anymore. Only a regular order because everything was booked up. I responded back with this isn’t fair , is there really no accommodations going to be made for your screw up? She then giggled and hung up the phone.
I then emailed them to talk to the owner or at least someone who could take responsibility and not be a child. The person emailed me back and defended her awful customer service and didn’t care to accommodate me.
This lead to huge frustration and stress. I ended up using Anna cupcakes in Oakville. She is very professional and made my cupcakes happen very fast and was WAY more reasonably priced.

We had a 50th 2 tier birthday cake made. Red velvet and marble, the cake was fresh, moist, light not dense and so delicious. I sent a few pictures of what I was hoping for and our expectations were exceeded. Everyone at the party was shocked by how awesome it looked. We highly recommend Sweet! We will order from here again absolutely ?!!!
