Our experience there on Father’s Day 2024 was great. If not for the parking difficulties we would have gone there again summer. The food, service and beautiful outdoor patio seating next to the Marina was no equivalent in Oakville.

We booked this restaurant for a private christmas party. The event coordinator was well organized and very helpful. We had an excellent 3 course meal, including a salad, braised beef and cheese cake dessert.

I reccomend booking your next holiday party here.

My stepmum and I had a birthday dinner reservation for a Sunday, early evening, in September 2024.
When we arrived, we were made to wait approximately 20 minutes in a line up before being seated at our table inside.
The server was friendly and generally good, the food was decent, however, we waited a long time before the food was served.
We had been there for 70 minutes and were thinking of ordering dessert when our server told us we had to leave because our 90 minutes were up. I was shocked. When I inquired why we had to leave when 3/4 of the restaurant was empty, the server said they had a reservation coming in for our table. When I asked if they could seat the reservation at any one of the numerous empty tables, she said no and pressured us to leave.
We had to guzzle our wine and didn’t get dessert. We spent all that money to then be kicked out.
Needless to say, I will not be back and I will not recommend this establishment to any of my friends.
Poor management and no care to create a positive/memorable dining experience.
I am surprised at the amount of good reviews here.
I have learned to check restaurants policies before making a reservation. Moving forward, I will not frequent any restaurant that imposes a time limit.

The Bronte Harbour Boathouse is a cozy, waterfront spot in Oakville with a relaxed, nautical vibe. The standout feature is its Tiki-style patio, which offers a fun, tropical atmosphere perfect for enjoying a drink. It’s a great place on a sunny day, with friendly service and a beautiful setting. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

Casual dining experience by the water at very reasonable prices with great service. Well varied menu. We went today for my mom's birthday and everyone left happy and full. Staff were friendly, kind and attentive to my family. Food was excellent and came quickly. We'll certainly come again. Thanks!

Got the worst food poisoning of my life from the sushi.
The sushi was actually the best TASTING sushi I have ever had. However, later that night, I got terrible stomach pain and more that lasted for an entire two weeks.
I tried emailing to ask about if anyone else had the same issue, but I received no response.

I went to dinner with someone who came in from out of town and made a reservation here. Upon walking up to the desk, you could sense the stress of all the staff. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer, but had to wait 10 minutes to eat them cold as our server didn’t bring us any cutlery. When we requested cutlery, he just forgot and we had to ask 2 other staff members to get this for us.

I ordered the miso cod, and my friend the burger. My friend loved the burger and their side Caesar salad. The cod dish hardly seasoned and was overall incredibly bland. Our server was inattentive, being too busy flirting with a table of blondes and we had to wait 15 minutes for the bill. It was my first time at Bronte Boathouse, and probably my last.

Can’t even make this story up!

Celebrating a milestone bday. Party of 10.

Starts off with server forgetting we ordered drinks for 25 min. I remind her. She brings them to table. She drops 18oz glass of beer on me. Glass smashes on floor beside me. My entire outfit soaked. Took 10 towels to partially dry off. Eat my dinner soaking wet. Then, my son finds long sharp piece of plastic in his meal.
Not ONE single apology from manager; who was completely aware of both scenarios.
Takes server 40 minutes to bring us our bills. The only compensation was my sons meal which had plastic that he didn’t even finish eating.
I kindly asked if they were going to do anything about my meal which I had to eat while soaking wet. Server had to check with manager; which in the end they took off bill.
For a party of 10 who frequent this restaurant often….and the money we spent. What kind of manager doesn’t come out to apologize and offer some real compensation for the multiple mishaps?
I get mistakes happen, but this was the worst service and management I have ever seen.
I was a manager in the service industry for years and this entire experience should have been dealt with in a completely different manner.
All 10 of us will NOT be returning here!
Also, my father had the mussel pasta which he was up all night with food poisoning from.
