Ordered takeout, decent portion sizes, everything tasted great and they even gave generous amounts of side dishes

The food came with side dishes (kimchi, cucumbers, bean sprouts). Very yummy, very quick.

Called asking if the food is halal, they said yes. A couple minutes later they called me back telling me that the food could touch pork. Haven’t eaten here but just the transparency was enough for a 5 start review

Peas in the fried rice hard and clearly old and freezer burnt... Portions very small. Flavor was fine otherwise. Very average experience with below average value. Won't be going back....

Have this bone in soup. You'll forget your mother inlaw's cooking, probably your wife's soup.. ooh just kidding about the wife soup.

The operator had a bad attitude. The takeout order was wrong, and only one portion of rice was provided for two dishes.

Food was so delicious—I got the gamjatang (soup) and jjinmandu (steamed beef dumplings), which came with a side of incredibly delicious kimchi. Ordered from uber eats. Totally worth the price imo!!!

As a huge fan of Owl of Minerva for years, I usually order in at home. First time sitting down dine in, the jug with water that was brought to us had brown mould collecting at the spout of the water jug - really needed a good scrub down or perhaps not plastic jugs for water as they develop mould. Water also had bits of black/white specs/particles, water or cups were not clean. Off putting. The restaurant had no AC for a day which a heat warning had been issued across the Toronto area. Sweating as we ate, was not comfortable or enjoyable. Additionally, the server seemed very rushy, not happy. We asked to split bill, also said no. The restaurant could be cleaner, especially for how popular it was. Food was good, as expected. Experience was overall a bit gross/unfriendly.

I ordered Kamjatang (no bone) and a half portion of Yangnyeom Chicken, just as shown on the menu. Kamjatang had two options with bone and without and I clearly selected the no bone option on the order sheet, which they got right.

However, I also wrote down that I wanted half of the Yangnyeom Chicken. The food itself was good, but when it came time to pay, I was charged for a full portion. When I asked about it, the staff insisted I had ordered the full, even though it was clearly written as “half” on the paper. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they blamed me very dismissively and told me I should have informed them before eating.

This was not handled well. The mistake was on their end, but they refused to take responsibility. I’ve been to many Korean restaurants, and this isn’t how these situations are usually handled. I didn’t want to cause a scene, but I do expect better service and accountability. I would appreciate if a manager could reach out to me to discuss this further.

Great authentic Korean food. Please don't ignore this diamond in the rough across the street to Oakville Go Station (Trafalgar). This place is legit Korean cuisine located in a sketchy strip mall near train tracks. However as soon as you walk into the restaurant you see how busy it is and you can be comforted by your dining choice. The food is great and the staff is super friendly for newcomers. My one gripe is that the tables are too small especially if you order one of the shared meals that require a table side burner to keep your stew/meal warm while you eat. It's clear this is one of the original Owl of Minerva locations whose reputation for great authentic Korean business has out grown it physical location. That said the staff is super helpful and friendly to ensure you have a great dining experience.

I’d always heard this place was one of the best spots in the city for Korean food — and now that I’ve finally tried it, I can confidently say it absolutely lives up to the hype. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, and I honestly couldn’t believe we finished it all… and still wanted more!

The fried beef dumplings? Unreal. So crispy and flavourful — easily one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

The staff were super polite, calm, and the service was impressively fast. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

A huge selection of korean favorites. I had the spicy korean beef soup. It was hot and delicious and the serving size was huge. The service is very fast and friendly, our tea and banchan were always kept topped up. Bring cash if you want a 5% discount.

Never have I had the displeasure of watching an employee go outside beside our window seat to pick his nose and eat his boogers. Very unfortunate as my husband and I really did enjoy their food and service but now can’t help but associate what transpired with what could be in the food as we noticed that he did not wash his hands and started touching everything else upon returning to the store.
