The Royal Windsor Pub & Eatery

We went as a group on Thanksgiving Monday for a meal and some drinks. The staff were wonderful and the atmosphere and food were good. I would give it 5 stars but it seems management didn't staff the night properly. There were, as far as I could tell only 3 staff members doing their best to keep up with a full resteraunt on game night, so service was incredibly slow. The staff did a great job and were ver appologetic but I hope in the future big nights are staffed better!

Tried this place for the first time with a group of friends. It's your standard pub fare, but there were lots of choices and the prices were very reasonable. We all pretty well cleaned our plates. I would definitely return. The only downside was we couldn't park all that close to the entrance as most of those spots were reserved for other local businesses

Imagine you order a beer and a lb of wings at the bar , 1/2 hour later you ask if it’s going to be much longer , and the bartender apologizes for forgetting your order, ?

A disappointing visit. My brother and I ordered fish and chips. The food was lukewarm when it arrived. From the dark colour of the fish, and the chips, my experience tells me the it's likely the fry oil was due for a change. As well, both of us had a piece of fish that was hard crisp on the bottom. Not pleasant crispy but over cooked hard crisp. Coleslaw and tartar sauce served in plastic tubs ??? At near $20 a plate would expect a better presentation. The experience sure didn't match the reviews posted or the impression given on their social media. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, I'll be back for beers but not for the food.

Disappointed,
Had a reservation for our Probus dinner group .
When we arrived no reservation was found and we had to rearrange the dinning area ourselves for the event .
Not impressed most likely will not come back .

By far the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I don’t normally leave reviews unless it’s positive but this was just ridiculous.

I waited over 15 minutes just standing at their both that says “please wait to be seated” with their servers walking right past me the whole time. Normally not a big deal cause people get busy but there was servers that were talking behind the bar and the place was no where near busy. There were 5 tables and 3 servers. I had to go to the bartender for service and decided to get my food to go to avoid more frustration with the serving staff.

We were there on a Thursday for lunch and found it surprising busy. They were short-staffed so service was slow. Food was ordinary Pub-style. No great reason to return.

Ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner. Got 4 small potato wedges, plain white rice that had no flavor, salad was OK and the strips of chicken had not flavor.
No refills are offered on my coffee.
We were there for almost an hour.
The waitress did discount my dinner to compensate for the lack of service.
Since the new owners, the place is definitely not the same, food or vibe.

The food was good. Ordered through Uber eats. Lots of food for the price. And a lot of variety of items to choose from including vegetarian options.
I didn’t enjoy the potato skins as there were cut up peppers in them which didn’t make sense to me. That was a personal preference but other than that the food and delivery service was good.

Enjoyed a nice lunch with friends. Very comfortable atmosphere, great food, and great service. I can hardly wait to go again.
