Rainy Tuesday in Orillia, very welcoming after the heat wave, while biking i stopped in to this cute and quaint cafe and shop. Needing some warmth on a 17 degree day i stopped in for lunch around 12:40 and ordered their last bit of French onion soup (small), pesto montecristo sandwich, and a medium coffee (Timmy's style).
Positives: Staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Once you've ordered find a nice spot as the staff will attend to your order and deliver to enjoy your choices...view the local art on the walls, you may find your next art piece.
Sandwich was hot, fresh, aromatic, and quite tasty. Coffee was hot, smelled fresh brewed, and welcoming from the dampness.
Cons: French onion soup was tepid and felt as though the warmer was turned off hours ago...shame as I was hoping for a temperature like the coffee..hot.
Price came to $24 which felt higher than it should, but I like to support local businesses...so will be back again.
I recommend you give it a try... for the soup ask if it's hot and if not ask to have it heated.

I really enjoy stopping at Apple Annie's while in Orillia this weekene. They have delicious pastries, sandwiches and a number of wonderful hot and cold beverages. I most recently enjoyed the Iced Latte flight which was excellent! Definitely worth the stop while downtown.

Had the roast beef and cheese sandwich. The beef slice was fatty and difficult to chew. Very loud diners next to us.

Whoever was working today, provided the worst service. The younger person took forever to serve me, as they were more focused on their conversation with the other worker. The customer after us got funny faces made by this worker after they left the counter and the next customer waited forever like me while this worker had their back to them again carrying on in their conversation to the other worker.

Cutest cafe in town, and less commercial than other options. Love the art on the walls, the homey feel and the space to get away from others and quietly enjoy your coffee. There's a little free library and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu this summer. Please keep an eye on the road for turtles 🐢

I used to love Apple Annies they had the worlds best egg salad sandwich.. today a salty tasteless quiche no sandwich.. ok but it took ten minutes to get a premade quiche, a latte no spoon and a mouthful of honey at the bottom (couldnt catch anyones eye for a spoon) they weren't even busy one man stood for 5 minutes at the cash. They were out of everything.. it was 11am.. and mgr there simply said “take a seat” after I paid.. terrible service.. never used to be fingerprinty and untidy either.. sorry to see this lovely place go

Great food and excellent service 👍🏻
Thanks Bre!! I had the egg salads sandwich, it was soo good. So many good things to choose from
Staff was amazing and love the atmosphere.
Let me start by saying I have gotten many good things from Apple Annie’s that were great including their pumpkin pie and various cheese cakes. This Easter weekend however my partner pick up a strawberry rhubarb pie, my favourite. Unfortunately this was the worst pie I have EVER had in my life. It was sour and bitter and inedible. Perhaps the sugar was somehow forgotten or it was a bad batch for what ever reason. The pie ended up in the compost bin. The pie was $25, if it was at all good I would have eaten it and would not be writing a poor review.
Love this little place but it’s time to get that menu back to the basics. Daily house made quiche and lightly dressed salad. One plate. 15.95. Yes please. Homemade soup and a toasted butter biscuit. Yes please. 12.95. People will pay. You have e amazing opportunity to build back some list clientele. The pre done floppy sandwiches look old and tired and taste the same. The hot drinks don’t disappoint and I will continue to come for a latte and scone weekly. But it’s time to change up that menu. You are trying hard we see it.
On a little roadtrip to visit family and we decided to stop in at this cafe for brunch on our way home based on good reviews. It did not disappoint! Atmosphere is cozy, the staff were friendly and accomodating and the homemade soup and tea biscuit, sandwich and a cinammon bun were excellent and we ate every last bit. Would high recommend this local cafe.
