We stumbled upon Captains Grill on our way from North Bay to Hamilton. We’d been driving a couple hours and were hungry so we looked up poutine nearby and here we are! The portions are incredible… I’ll be reheating poutine all weekend 👍 My son had a burger and fries. The service is super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The decor is fun and they have their own merch in case anyone needs a souvenir 😎 It was easy to find and reasonably priced. 10/10!

Delicious Halibut and fries came with very generous portions! Crispy fries were hand cut perfectly done. Coleslaw was homemade and tasty. Tartar sauce and lemon all included.

Sadly I did not have a great first-time experience. My fish was way over cooked and dry - and I spent the extra money for the halibut. The fries were also over cooked and dry. Threw out most of it. I did takeout so I wasn't going to drive all the way back to complain. Very friendly service though, but wouldn't go back.

Dave and Karen have set up a lovely spot with delicious food and warm atmosphere. Not only were they both open, kind and fun - the food was delicious, servings exceptionally large and the menu was specific and creative! Took home leftovers and enjoyed every bite!

A out of the way place but it's so worth it. Dave and his wife go out of there to make your stay rememberable.

We had their burgers in this charming little restaurant. They were fantastic, you can taste the care used in their food. We chatted with the owner, he seasons fresh beef and prepared the meal himself. We most certainly will be back for fish Friday.
