I grew up eating Duckworths fish and chips in Toronto. We ordered take out this afternoon and it was wonderful! Fish and chips were done perfectly and condiments did not make the batter or the chips soggy at all! The mushy peas are fantastic too!

Delicious Halibut fish and chips. The garden salad was fresh and excellent too.The restaurant was super busy for dinner. We waited a bit for a table. The service was amazing and though they were busy, were extremely friendly and helpful.

I phoned an order for a piece halibut and chips take out. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes after my order and waited an additional 18 minutes for a single piece of fish, no chips. I complained and was told I must not have called the order in. Unbelievable. I showed the staff my phone record of the call. Then staff said, oh, well, you're getting free fries.By the time my fries arrived another staff member offered to refund my money but by this time i was too miffed. I declined and left. Unfortunately i had also left a tip. Disappointed in Duckworth's

We have tried take out at two other well know places they both brag about how good their fish and chips areWell we decided to give Duckworths a try from being at the other two with portion size ( one place i dont even think was halibut )we went with 2* 2pc unbelievable one two piece could of fed us both the fish portions were huge and the chips were plentiful the gravy was great the homemade tartar was awesome it was truly a top notch mealThe order was placed online and was ready before the estimated time we rated the atmosphere as a 5 star as well ,the house was full and every patron seem to be enjoying themselves the people cooking and the waitress were all very politeThis was just a top notch experienceDuckworths will most definitely be having return visits from usThank youBest alwaysBernie

DIRTY!! The food was good, service was good, the staff were friendly, but the place looked like it hasn't been cleaned since it opened! The front door was almost opaque with finger prints, everything looked dirty. The bathroom was disgusting...filthy sink and taps, actual white stuff dripping off the already dirty brass door plate, I could go on. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is. ?
This is a great local place to go to. Very good fish, crispy and not greasy.Need to go here if you are in the area.

The best fish and chips in Orillia. They have several choices of fish including the New Zealand Blue Cod. Their daily special with one piece of fish, fries, coleslaw and a drink can’t be beat at $12.50. Great food served with fast and friendly service.
