Had a reservation, and the meal literally took 3 hours. The risotto was undercooked and two members of the party were served wrong meals.
It was a little more than we'd originally planned on spending, most meals were priced between $15-$21, however we both left nicely full.
I got the BLTC sandwich with a garden salad side (I could eat a huge bowl of that delicious salad!) & a glass of milk, & my husband got the same sandwich (without tomato, so a BLC) with a side of fries (he said the fries were just like how his Dad used to make themš) & a glass of Gingerale. The BLTC was made on a type of baguette if I'm not mistaken, toasted, & all ingredients were fresh, sweet cherry tomatoes š not large slices.
From the outside you can't see how fancy the inside looks, we kinda felt under dressed at first, but no one made us feel like that, it was actually a nice relaxed atmosphere - lots of art from a local artist from Ramara. While we waited for our food we used the QR code on the card next to the closest painting to look at more of the artists other work.
Overall we were impressed.
I can't think of anything negative to say...I had the carbonara and was quite impressed.
Such a great meal & Leslie was an amazing server.
Atmosphere was lovely
Restaurant was under staffed but the servers that were there made sure that everyone was still taken care of, they had great attitudes which made dinner feel nicer. The food was amazing as well, everything we ate was perfection and couldnāt get enough. Pictured here is the salmon dish I had. Iād definitely come back if Iām in the area again :)
Food was overpriced and underwhelming.
I am hypercritical when it comes to restaurant service as I had previously worked in fine dining as well as casual dining for 12+ years.
My partner and I arrived with no reservation and were seated promptly at one of the last available tables. We ordered an Espresso martini and a classic gin martini both of which were perfect.
We had gone for the Saturday Prime Rib special and I was non visibly disappointed that they were all out of the Prime Rib. However without hesitation, they offered the lamb shank as a surf n turf option. This came with shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. Needless to say this was what I ordered and it did not disappoint. The variety was superb, cooked perfectly and delicious. My partner ordered the Striploin as they were out of the Tenderloin and he said it was the best Striploin heād ever had.
Our waters were re filled without being asked and our glasses were removed from the table for proper pouring which yes, I notice and appreciate.
There was beautiful local artwork for purchase on the walls which I thought added a very personal, genuine touch. The restaurant, including the bathrooms, was spotless and cozy.
The two gentleman serving were friendly and attentive. We moved to Orillia only a few short years ago, so this was our first visit to Era67. After a brief conversation with our server we learned that he was in fact the current owner and previously a silent partner. He said they had only one chef and staff were difficult to find. As someone who helps operate a family business - I can absolutely relate to the difficulty of finding staff (and good ones at that!)
Our experience at Era67 was comfortable, cared for and satisfying.
And to the reviewer who gave a 1 star re the takeout they ordered via voicemail all I can say is LOL. Itās unfortunate that Google reviews are the main source used to showcase a companies reputation especially when theyāre as laughable as that one.
Despite running out of a few items, they were eager to compensate in other ways and I think honest businesses like this need our support.
The good: appetizer stuffed Yorkies was the star of the night very delicious
The bad: waited 45 minutes to get the appetizer and an additional hour to get the main. Practically a two hour wait.
The ugly : main course was very bad I ordered the ribeye steak and my other half orderd the stuffed pork chop both came with potatoes and seasonal vegetables the potatoes tasted like they've been under a heat lamp since they opened and the vegetables where no better. The stuffed pork chop was indeed not stuffed and was so dry it was hard to swallow. The ribeye steak lacked any flavour that a good ribeye would have it rather just tasted of salt alot of salt and over cooked from the asked medium rare I thought maybe the demi glace if you can call it that would save the steak however it too just tasted like very salty thick gravy I would expect way more at the $70 price point for just the steak
The place wasn't very busy one table of 8 and around 3-4 more couples whom one was leaving and other half already had there food. The atmosphere was just disappointment not only from us but others around could hear multiple tables complaining of the food. The waiting nearly 2 hours for our food was exclusive to just us as two tables walked in a hour after we've been there and received the food before us I guess the premium dry pork chop and overcooked salty steak along with terrible sides takes precious time
Gave Era67 a shot after a previous subpar experience. This visit was much more in line with it's reputation and our expectations.
Started with the stuffed yorkies and the bruschetta, highly recommend both.
Looked at the menu before hand, had decided on the stuffed porkchop, but on hearing they had a special of prime rib, went with that. No regrets, I'll have to visit again to try the porkchop. The 2 people who had the lamb shank said it was the best lamb they've ever had. Steak was great too.
The chocolate tort for dessert was a fantastic end to dinner.
Service was top notch. Good winelist and the cocktails were good.

Definitely difficult to share my experiences of the takeout when we couldnāt get that far. Very disappointed, our family had a gift card we wanted to redeem last night and we called to place the order. They answered and said to call back in 15, so my mom calls back and it goes to voicemail. My mom leaves the order on the voicemail and asks if someone can call back to confirm. I was coming from Barrie for the order, and ran a couple errands beforehand. I show up to the restaurant to inquire about our order probably about 30 minutes later as we hadnāt received a call back and the lady brought over a gentleman who said he hadnāt checked the phone. It came off very they couldnāt be bothered to check. It was very dismissing and the restaurant didnāt seem crazy busy. Super disappointed as we had a lot of family over and were excited to have a nice family dinner. Iāve worked in customer service a long time and in management and was in disbelief of the lack of service and lack of apology/assistance. Absolutely brutal. I told them donāt worry about it, I was driving back to Barrie and canāt wait if the order is being started now but also crazy no one ever bothered to call my mom back.
Donāt trust the online reservation system. Had a reservation for 2 for tomorrow and they just called me and left a voicemail saying their system was āturned offā and to āplease join us another timeā.

Today is Friday and made reservation via yelp, but the restaurant is closed without notice. We drove to there for two hours, thatās unpleasant experience.

I booked a reservation online and they called me an hour later saying that they double booked and that I have no reservation which was for my mother's 70th birthday. They didn't offer any alternatives or even apologize. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
