We recently held a private function at Fare. Jenna, the Manager, was excellent to work over the months leading up to the event. She delivered on every promise and exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, the food, the level of service and attention to every little detail was exceptional. Our group was thrilled and one of our members said "I felt special tonight." If I could rate our experience here higher than 5 stars I would. We have eaten here 3 times and have loved the food so much that we chose to have our company Christmas party here. Everyone raved about it. The staff nailed it. Such thoughtful service. And the food is everything you want it to be, so good that you can’t stop talking about it. One dish after the other, of some of the best food we’ve ever tasted. Ever. You could put this restaurant up against the best restaurant you’ve ever been to. If you’re a foodie, the flavour and texture combinations will drive you crazy! Every new item we try blows us away. Our favourites are: The bread board Pasta Sacchetti Prime Rib Korean Nachos The Fare burger The STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING!!!!!!! Just go. You’ll see what I mean.

What makes this place so special? The service. My god, they don’t pay Amy enough!!!!

Not impressed with the service at all. Employees at the door discussed tables instead of greeting us at the entrance. The bench I sat at was broken. The waiter could not describe the ingredients the fish came with (explained he didn’t like fish!). Bathroom light was broken. Restaurant was cold. Only redeeming thing was the food! Will not be back.
Food was great, beer was cold, service was fast, and a nice view from their patio. What more could you ask for.

Arrived at another restaurant in Orillia on Nov.2nd. However, the reservation we thought we had did not exist. After a few anxious moments we phoned other restaurants in the downtown. Upon contacting Fare, the response was give us 20 minutes and we will fit you in. Our evening out for our group of six was saved. The food was excellent, service terrific and friendly. One slight error which staff corrected. My wife asked for a box to take home part of her dinner. By error someone tossed out her plate. Staff promptly made another meal and boxed it up. Above and beyond, thank you very much.

I had a reservation for 12 noon. For 6 people. We ordered our food after a lengthy wait. Server came back to tell us no soup left! But the ladies beside us had soup. Who came as a walk in. There was other people getting their food before us. Love the view but we won't be back.
