Amazing place to visit-lots of memories here from being a kid . The place may have upgraded slightly but still same classic vibe. The City should consider making this a historic land mark. So much history and the French family have kept this excellent eatery alive for so many decades, serving so many people. Its a definite star of what the sunshine city is all about.

Great service and food
Cute and perfect spot. They have open seatings.
We have a vanilla scoop. It was as good as 2 scoops big and so good. Never had such a good vanilla flavoured ice cream.
My best advice for French’s is RAISE THE PORTIONS this is not what French’s was like about 3 years ago before the park construction you could get a poutine filled to the brim to the point where you couldn’t close the lid to the container for 7 bucks now you go there portions is cut by 1/2 or more like 2/3rds I would understand if the ingredients they used were fresh and taste good but this was Frozen Fries with packaged lukewarm gravy and admittedly good cheese curds. The pros: Service was good and fast and friendly. More issues I had was no seasoning not even salt on the fries which if your not putting it on at least put a couple packs out for customers. The only thing French’s has going for it right now is convenience with it being in the park but if you get rid of that I would just go to Costco to get poutine for the same price that is massive and tastes better. French’s staff and owner need to know that good food and good prices is what will keep people coming back otherwise this beautiful piece of Orillia history will die out with the new generations. This is not a hate letter it’s just something that needs to be addressed thank you.
Great food in a very beautiful and scenic setting, with plenty of tables.
Had no green tea :( The strawberry milkshake was DELICIOUS
The only great thing about this place is the view. My BLT was made with crumbs of bacon and when I took it back with the burger with only onion on it and mayo. I was told “oh’ what do you want me to do “. When we got our order back. It was poorly put together . First time here and last time never again. For what they charge. They should take the time and pep the food better.
Everything at French's is new and very welcoming. The staff was polite and accommodating.
Not open
Says was open walked down far to it was closed I’m pissed

It is not open due to construction. Web site and Google should reflect this
Parking: No parking, full of concrete culverts from construction
