This location refused to serve my husband at the drive through because his car window could not roll down. My husband came out of the vehicle and informed them at the driveway that the car window had an issue going down. He was ready to pay but they refused him service because the car window was not working. The next business day we contacted head office of Kawarthas to make a complaint and we were told that this is their policy due to safety. According to them, they claim your car can run you over. There was NO evidence of imminent danger. I have been to many different drive throughs like Macdonalds, Tim Hortons and Starbucks and have never been denied service because of my car window issue. In addition to this, my husband asked what if a disabled person had to step out of the vehicle because of their disability, he was told that they would still refuse service at the drive through, they would not use their discretion. They would not even compromise for people who have disabilities which is not inline with the Canadian Disabilities Act. We have been regular customers of this location and would not go back. I will stick to Hag and Daz and my Ninja Creami Machine. Shame on you Kawartha ice cream!

We are not strangers to this store. We just hasn't had it in a very long time. I ordered the ripe raspberry. I am a senior with a 7 decade affinity for ice cream, spread over 27 countries. And yet this was the most delicious thing I ever tasted. It's more like a granita of frozen raspberry juice that would complement a 5 star meal. All that raspberry isn't cheap to make, either, and KLD does it without comprise to taste and quality. Thank you.

Kawartha Dairy in Orillia is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves rich, creamy ice cream and top-quality dairy products. This location captures the charm and tradition that Kawartha Dairy is known for, offering a wide selection of their signature flavors alongside excellent service.

The ice cream is, of course, the star of the show. From crowd favorites like Moose Tracks and Burgundy Cherry to seasonal specialties, every flavor is packed with creamy goodness. The portions are generous, making it a fantastic value for the price. Whether you’re enjoying a cone on a hot summer day or grabbing a tub to take home, the quality is unmatched.

The Orillia location has a convenient layout with plenty of parking, making it an easy stop whether you’re a local or passing through town. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with recommendations or tastings if you can’t decide on a flavor (which is understandable with so many great options!).

In addition to ice cream, their milk, cream, and butter are top-notch, reflecting Kawartha Dairy’s commitment to quality. This location truly delivers a great experience, combining delicious products with a welcoming atmosphere.

Great flavours and icecream. And good portions. Me and family just got kiddy cups and it was alot of icecream for us.

A very cost-effective ice cream shop. Two boxes of 1.5 liters of ice cream are 13 yuan, and a ball of ice cream is 6 yuan. You must try it😄👍

The scoops were quite small for the price of $17+ for 2 x double scoops in waffle cones. The ice cream is great but we commented at the size of the small scoops to the server and we were told that Kawartha Dairy is now standardizing the size of scoops yet the price hasn’t changed and it is still expensive. Shrinkflation at its best! Kawartha Dairy was known for big scoops but you pay for it too, but now they’re the size of scoops I would have at home or any other place. I’ve also discovered many of the flavours are available from other ice cream manufacturers so I’m reconsidering frequenting Kawartha Dairy because it has gotten stingy for the price. Unfortunately, I didn’t not take a photo of the small scoops and should have.

Good ice cream scoop sizes and some friendly employees here for sure. It seems like they cheap out on the ingredients more and more as time goes on though. Cookie dough especially! And those poor employees at the drive through. The window's so low. It looks back breaking.

The pumpkin pie flavour no longer has bits of crust for the benefit of the gluten intolerant. Not the same…will not buy again
