Mark IV Brothers is a true gem in Orillia — and undeniably the heart of the city. The space is eclectic, authentic, and inviting, with an atmosphere that feels both laid-back and full of character. Their menu is crafted with care and skill, offering consistently delicious coffee and food. It’s a beloved staple for locals and an essential stop for anyone passing through Orillia!
This place is absolutely wonderful! It’s a hidden gem on the way to cottage country, and I highly recommend it for any espresso lovers. You won’t be disappointed!
Way overpriced
Small spot with a cool vibe
Had a medium-light roasted Ethiopian in a latte and it was delicious. Plenty of nuttiness and a little fruitiness made it through the milk. Staff were super friendly. You can tell this is a place run by folks that really care about coffee - the perfect kind of obsessive. I drove about 70km from cottage country for a cup of coffee and would do it again.
Best coffee!!
It's delicious ❤️
Absolutely charming place with delicious coffee and friendly service. We always stop in. Highly recommended.
I've been visiting this cafe since I was in high school, it has only improved it's quality over the years. I love seeing the owners there when they're in store, but am so glad that they are able to have proper staff now! This is the best local cafe with the freshest beans. If you're in Orillia or stopping by, try this instead of Tim's!
This place is legitimately the best cafe I have been to of all time. I’ve been going there since they open and now I live two towns over and I still make the trip just the coffee. By far the best service, advice, beans and coffee.
This is a place that knows their stuff and stands by it, offering a great coffee time and time again.

Absolutely lovely latte. I got the blueberry muffin, which was incredibly dry and very crumbly. Avoid the pastries! The cafe itself is was also incredibly crowded, as it’s a popular place (I went on a Sunday afternoon), so there wasn’t much selection to sit down. Sadly the service was very, very slow as they only had two baristas on (they were nice and patient with everyone though). They definitely needed a third person working. Would go back for the coffee, but to go.
Had a great evening Roasting and then cupping with James and the team at Mark IV.
This is a unique 1:1 experience for coffee lovers or the novice wanting to learn more about the roasting process.
Getting to bring home a bag of your very own roasted coffee is just a plus in the process.
The “Cupping” experience further allows you to travel the worlds coffee and explore the smells and tastes from different beans and roasts while in the company of the master roaster.
If you are in the Simcoe County region, or passing through Orillia, make a stop, enjoy a cup and experience the adventure.
Wonderful independent coffee shop! The coffee is great, the croissants are phenomenal, the atmosphere is cozy and the barista was absolutely wonderful :)
Coffee and pastries were good. I just wish there was more seating. Everytime I go, I end up not being able to stay and enjoy the atmosphere because there are no seats available.
