Noon on a Wednesday in a busy commercial area and ONE person working? People only have so long for lunch and I walk in to one person serving the already three people in front of me. Turned around, out the door. One person working a food spot during lunch is *insane*. Hire appropriate staff, absolutely ridiculous.

September 22, 2025. Did you know you have to pay for toppings at Mr. Sub now. You do at 425 West St. Orillia. I went to get a basic assorted sub that I have bought since in my teens. I ordered the sub, was asked if I wanted extra cheese, said no thank you, the scruffy elderly foreigner, seemed angry already, placed the sub on the metal with no wrap under it, then asks me what topics I would like, I said tomato, lots of lettuce and olives, onion and sub sauce. He hesitantly added extra lettuce then hesitantly added olives, I asked him to add more olives, he added one at the top and a couple at the other end, I explained no, no, I am sorry, I was asking for lots of olives please. The scruffy guy says, if you get more olives you have to pay for them. This will be more than I put on. I was shocked, I said keep the sub and left the store. I went to Little Caesars next door instead. I have went here for years they are always rude but and scruffy, but never have I had to pay for toppings before ever. So ridiculous. Good bye, Mr. Sub forever! Hello Little Caesars, better than a cheap sandwich any day. SR

I have been going to this mr.sub for 20 years. As well as the one his father used to own. These guys are like a safety blanket to me if im having a bad day . Always happy to see me, friendly and nice. I used to go with my parents now im going with my children. Thanks guys!

Be careful, they have their pizza sauce and marinara sauce mixed up. Refuse to acknowledge it too. Two very different sauces.
The owners have a piss poor attitude, a lady who barley speaks english running the cash register, a 90 year old man who always gets your order wrong & a guy with a scruffy beard, always mad for whatever reason. I spend a fair amount of money here for lunches, unfortunately the quality has been degrading the past few weeks & it forces me to enjoy lunch somewhere else. Soggy brown lettuce, majority of it is the core, pickle & banana pepper ends.. i really dont want to eat the stem. Always rock hard buns. The parking is hit or miss, you can either park right in front or have to walk halfway across the plaza. This is the better mr sub in orillia.. & that says enough.

The employee with the white and black beard acts nice until he gets irritated and then unleashes hell on customers when he feels like they criticize the quality of the sub he made. I had a steak sub and I swear it was made with half the ingredients and I called him out on it, and he was rude and short and claimed that if he added more toppings he would go out of business. Well news flash I wasn’t asking for MORE toppings I was asking for what I paid for with what is advertised on their boards and what I get is sad, with what it costs these days too. Never going back here
