Great place to celebrate maple syrup season with the family. Not cheap but a March break experience. Sleigh or wagon rides available depending upon the weather.

Its always a great treat to go. The only downside is price. With tip..$44.00 for 2. You have to remind yourself your supporting farmers; which i am happy to do

This 120 year old enterprise includes a sugar bush, with horse drawn wagon tours, where you can see 30 kms of sap lines strung from 4,500 trees; a dining hall with rustic decor and a limited menu; a gift shop to buy products made on-site and locally; and a sugar shack where you can observe the sap being collected and distilled into syrup. It’s located between Barrie (20 minute drive) and Orillia (5 minute drive). There’s lots of parking. And very helpful, accommodating staff. We appreciated the gentleman who was overseeing the syrup boiling - he took time to lift up our granddaughter when she was not tall enough to get a good view. And the shop clerk and waitress who took care of us - it was obvious that they were used to multi-generation visitors and diners, and that they enjoyed interacting with children! Watch for the older gent who loads you onto the wagons! (He’ll joke, and pull your leg if you’re not listening closely, just to bring an unexpected smile.) We took our 2 grandchildren (aged 9 and 6) here on a sunny Tuesday during March Break. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Time spent outdoors, and off the devices, just soaking up nature, and making a memory. Well done, Shaw’s!

Nice place to go for a weekend breakfast or lunch. Order a plate of massive pancakes with their maple syrup that's made on-site.They also offer horse and buggy rides through the maple trees or you can even walk the trails on your own.A pleasant experience for sure.

This was a great place to go for pancakes and French toast. Very small menu but that makes it super simple. Maple syrup with every meal and it's amazing! Pancakes are huge and very filling. I would definitely recommend going here, especially on weekends for the wagon rides. They also offer many walking trails. You really want to try this place. Only downfall, is they are open for a short season, February to April.
