Been to some of the best culinary schools and restaurants around the world this is a joke tbh food sub par lobster smells off heard a guy joking how it sat all day disgusting and also dangerous food practices I wouldn’t waste my money on this I’d rather find a food truck where it’s all freshly made with local produce not frozen food from out of country 😂

Wow. This was a real treat. The food was wonderful. Their specialty is steaks, and it was indeed special. I also recommend the 'vegan mess' which is the wrong name for this wonderful dessert!!! Maybe the 'vegan sleeper' or the 'Incognito' because there is no way I could tell that lovely strawberry meringue was vegan. All in all, a lovely experience. Just go. Taste. Enjoy.

We went to celebrate our daughter’s 25th Birthday. She chose the place so we travelled from Huntsville… let me tell you I would drive three hours to eat here. We loved it, I tell anyone that will listen to dine here. I just can’t wait to go back, that sticky toffee pudding is calling my name. #bestthingonearth #neverstopsellingthis

Sunday Brunch Mimosas, Caesers and Bennys!! What a great way to start the week! Service was spot on, bennys were perfection with a house made biscuit that added crispness and punch to the tasteful hollandaise and eggs poached perfection!!

The Common Stove offers an exceptional farm-to-table experience. Every dish bursts with fresh, locally sourced flavors, expertly crafted to highlight the best of each ingredient. The wood-fired cooking adds a unique, smoky depth, and the warm, rustic atmosphere perfectly complements the thoughtful, attentive service. A must-visit for anyone who values quality and sustainability in dining!

I would definitely rate this place 5 stars. The food is consistently good, and as far as expensive steaks go, they’re among the best I’ve had. While they do tend to add a bit too much salt to the steak at times, I’ve never had any issues getting a replacement when needed. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with their large wood-fired oven giving the space a delightful smoky aroma. It’s definitely worth visiting, even if it’s just to try their burgers!

First time there. Went as guests of family who have been several times in the past.
I looked at the menu ahead of time and was a little apprehensive, but those concerns where put to rest once we got there.
We shared some scallops as an appetizer,
I had the filet as my main, and we all shared sweet potato rings, heirloom carrots, buratta and kenebec fries.

The steak was as good as I've ever had, cooked to perfection (MR) and served with a nice bearnaise sauce on the side. All the side dishes also came with delicious sauces (garlic aioli, curry, chili lime, chimi churri).

We finished our meal with some Kindred Chocolates, which were the icing on the cake.

Service was also first rate.

Highly recommended.

Kid-friendliness: Not really geared towards families, although I did notice one or two kids there.

More of an adult atmosphere and menu.

Very pleasantly surprised. To be honest, better than a lot of restaurants in Toronto.
Meat was incredible, each side dish exceeded expectations. We don’t go out much anymore because of the quality. We will definitely be back here.

We came here to celebrate a very special dinner on our grandmother’s 100th birthday and the service was fantastic. Great ambiance and food was delicious!

The menu isn’t very big but we enjoyed every dish. Would love a larger portion for the price but it did give us the opportunity to order more off the menu and try more of the foods.

The steak was cooked perfectly and drink options are very creative (including non-alcoholic options)! The burrata and bone marrow starters are a must.

Parking: Paid parking can be found behind the restaurant. Free after 5:30pm!

Sunday Roast was outstanding. Service was excellent. The smoked vegetable was great but the Yorkshire Pudding exceeded expectations. Finished with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Ugh. Too good. Couldn't stop.

Visited this place for dinner and it wasn’t bad! We ordered a rib eye steak, heirloom carrots, the fries and the sticky toffee pudding. The rib eye steak was quite delicious and soft. It came with buttery green sauce + salt. However the heirloom carrots were quite alright, I would not buy it the next time if I were to visit. The fries were good and came with a garlic aioli sauce. The desert was quite sweet as it was drowning in the toffee liquid - I would personally go for something less sweet next time! Overall not too bad and the service was lovely and fast.

Great place. Highly recommend. We were just 2 people but larger parties make more sense. The dishes are meant for sharing. The bottled Cider was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly.

Nice place, really good ambiance. Service was pretty attentive. The food was pretty disappointing. Had the rib eye, and it was pre cut when brought out. Was on the dry side and came with salt and pesto on the sides. The heirloom carrots were probably the best thing that was brought out. Actually, the Lagavulin was the best thing in the menu. At $28 a shot, you would expect a healthy pour. That's not the case. Avoid the scallops! They did not taste fresh and were seasoned in soya sauce? Terrible combination. Had 2 orders because one order only comes with one. We had left one and a half on the plate. Advised the waitress. She asked what the problem was and told her about the terrible combination. A restaurant charging these prices you would expect a comp or offer another appetizer, desert, etc. She advised that they had 3 restaurants in town. We were looking for live music and decided not to go to the affiliate bar and drive into Barrie.
