Today as I was sitting at the lights I could smell the food and couldn’t help myself.
Staff were super friendly. But the food was the best part. Generous portions too.
I’ll be back for sure.

Really had high hopes for this place as I am a fan of pulled pork and I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't pulled pork. It was so disgusting that my family members didn't wanna eat it either.

The food was fine, the only issue with this place is that they don't let you pay for your food until you pay their forced tip. So for that I give this place a 2 star. 3 for food, 1 for service and 1 star atmosphere.
I wish we could have taken a picture before we devoured all our food. Great service, exceptional flavoured foods. 100% we will stop here again!

Food is better the average around here. 25 for a jerk chicken plate is ludacris. These guys are on queludes. This place is going down fast and they know it. Nobody can charge that, it’s cheaper in downtown Toronto compared to up in orillia even though expenses are less than half. Greed has turned these guys backward. They’ll be out of business soon

Price has doubled in the last year. Used 15.99 for a plate and is now $25 for a jerk chicken plate. That is crazy expensive, not even in downtown Toronto they are charging this high of prices. My crew has Jerk chicken 3 times a week all over Ontario and never have we been charged $25 for a plate. Unacceptable

I recently visited The Shack and tried their Roadside burger, and I must say it was a fantastic experience! From the first bite, I could tell this was something special. The patty was cooked to perfection, retaining all its natural juices and flavor. Each bite was incredibly satisfying, with a perfect balance of tenderness and a slight char on the outside.

Whenever I'm in Ontario I visit The Shack. I've been there several times over the years. This May the drop in quality was unbelievably disappointing. It was lunch time and they didn't even have half the stuff available we wanted. What we ended up getting was super dry, flavorless and overpriced.
The new partner was running the restaurant, and while the interiors were re-done, he said that he was having issues with the owner, and that he's been making changes to the restaurant. These changes show a clear drop in quality and care put into the food. Being welcoming and friendly isn't his strong suit either.
Great food and service. I recommend the coleslaw for sure. I had the jerk chicken and really enjoyed it.

Visited yesterday with my partner after attending the Orillia farmers market. We pass by it frequently and have never had the chance to stop until yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised. My fiancé got the jerk pork and it was juicy and bursting with flavour, the bun was soft and delicious. I got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on it, and I was in heaven, it was juicy and flavourful and all around a good sandwich. We got the pulled pork poutine to share and between the chip wagon style fries, the layered gravy, and cheese curds and juicy pulled pork we were in heaven. We almost needed to be rolled to our car.
The Owners delivered to our table, checked on us to make sure it was good and over all just made sure our experience was amazing. We will definitely be back, it will be our summer date spot for sure.

If you're looking for a place with great smoked meats this is the go to place. The jerked pork sandwich was 10/10 beautifully smoked and bursting with flavor. Pulled pork poutine had that classic chip wagon crispy fries with layers of melted cheese , pulled pork and gravy. Owners were very nice and can tell they put love into the food they make , will definitely be coming back!

My partner and I have been fans of The Shack for many years. Unfortunately, we’ve had a major problem. We hired The Shack to do the catering for our wedding in Orillia. We paid a deposit upwards of $700. Our wedding was scheduled for June 1st and we still haven’t been able to get a hold of him. We’ve called multiple times; when they answer we get the run around from his business partner. I’m so throughly disappointed by this. Stealing someone’s hard earned money is a terrible thing to do, especially during this time when food is expensive. It was on us to find a new caterer and pay almost double because of what happened. Disgusted by this.
