I’m a regular at the Tim Hortons on 25 Colborne Street in Orillia, and during my recent visit I witnessed something that was genuinely upsetting.

One of the employees who has worked here for a long time was preparing an order at the front. While he was working, another staff member — who appeared to be in a supervisory role — began loudly criticizing him across the counter in front of both coworkers and customers.

She raised her voice and said things like, “What are you even doing?” and told him he was “too slow” and that a customer had left because of him. This wasn’t said quietly or constructively — it was said loudly enough for the entire front area to hear.

The employee looked extremely embarrassed and distressed. His face turned red, he looked like he was trying not to cry, and when he returned to the counter to prepare drinks he was visibly shaking while rushing to finish orders.

It was honestly uncomfortable to stand there and watch someone be spoken to that way in front of a room full of people.

Everyone understands that fast-food environments can be busy and stressful, but publicly humiliating an employee is not acceptable management. Correction and coaching should happen privately and respectfully, not through yelling in front of customers.

I come here regularly and have always seen many hardworking staff members trying their best. They deserve to be treated with basic dignity at their workplace.

I don’t understand how this franchise survives. Went once and they had no cream. Today they had no toaster?

Service is friendly and with a smile and patience with the costumers most of the time. As for the cleansing feeling of this place it's very extreme low graded not enough cleaning at all the tables and chairs aren't Always wiped clean so you end up sitting at a dirty table and on sticky stuff. The bathroom is crazy devil nasty Grose not clean at all the toilets aren't cleaned from top back and bottom the sink isn't as well cleaned and the stall doors are nasty dirty too so the baby table it's also very dirty the filth makes your skin crawl.

In Ontario, while the provincial Food Premises Regulation (O. Reg. 493/17) requires food handlers to wear clean outer garments and keep their hair contained, specific mention of mandatory beard nets for all beard lengths is found primarily in the federal Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR The food handler at this location has a long beard and does not wear the proper requirement of a hair net over his beard. It is absolutely disgusting to have food there. Why is Tim Hortons not following the regulations of Ontario and food handling in this country.?

I was have a low sugar at 10pm and didn't know they dont make wraps after 10. I told the lady working and she ofter me 2 donuts for the money I spend on the wrap. I think I should get my money back for the 2 wraps. Donuts are less money and when I worked at Tim Hortons I was trained to deal with a diabetic person the way they were I almost had a seizure and she just sat there and looked at me rudely it was the orillia Ontario colburn Street.
