My favourite café in Orleans! Great chai lattes and all the food is delicious. The owner and her daughter are super kind! Definitely worth a visit !

I went for a coffee with a few people and we arrived around 3:15. We were having a great conversation when, right at 4:00, a staff member came over and told us we had to leave because they were closing. We literally had to rush out the door. I understand that businesses have set closing times, but good customer service usually includes a bit of flexibility, most places offer a brief buffer after the first notice rather than pushing people out the moment the clock hits closing. Rushing customers out like that doesn’t create a welcoming experience, and it definitely left a poor impression. I won’t be returning, especially when there are plenty of great coffee shops in Orleans that don’t make customers feel like an inconvenience. A little common sense goes a long way: give people a short buffer after the initial closing reminder, and they’ll naturally wrap up without feeling shoved out the door.

I went in with high expectations and was unfortunately disappointed by the poor quality of what we got. The coffee had a burnt taste to it, the hot chocolate had powder stuck to the glass cup, and the tiramisu was old and soggy.

We were a group of 7 (6 actually showed up this time) so we pulled up another table to accommodate our group, like we did the last time. After 30 min. or so, one of the staff came over and told us we could not move that table and needed to move it back because they expect to be busy on a Saturday morning. The room was barely1/3 occupied (mostly by us!). 2 of us talked to them just before leaving and they just did not want to hear our complaints or our suggestion to maybe next time try simply on politely warning us to be able to move the table back IF more customers arrived and needed to be accommodated. So if you don't want to pay $7.00 for a coffee, and spend on pricey pastries/food, and you don't appreciate service focused on the establishment instead of being focused on customer satisfaction, then Cafe Amore is NOT for you!

I’ve visited Cafe Amore twice before, but they always ran out of tiramisu. This time, my husband and I came earlier in the day and finally got to try it along with their lattes — and oh my goodness, it was incredible! Hands down the best tiramisu I’ve had in Ottawa. It was so good I had to buy another one to take home.

I’ve also tried their cannolis before, and they’re amazing too. Everything we’ve had has been top-notch. This place is a solid 10/10 — highly recommend! 🩷 We’ll definitely be back

First time experience. Friendly staff, great authentic latte, the breakfast sandwich on a gluten free bagel was great.

I usually overlook spots in strip malls, but this place on St. Joseph is a total hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior—it’s genuinely cozy and has a proper European vibe that feels miles away from the busy road outside. I ordered the Pollo panini for lunch, and it was honestly delicious; the bread was perfectly toasted and they didn't skimp on the fillings. The only minor thing is that it gets surprisingly loud and busy during the mid-day rush, so don't expect a quiet library atmosphere. But for the amazing coffee and the friendly service, I’m definitely coming back.
