Long story short, We tried Hidden Taste for the first time last night and we will NEVER...EVER go anyplace else from here on out. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. Korma, Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan were possibly the best we've ever had (globally not just locally). To boot, they are a beautiful, kind, hard working, family owned restaurant with highly aggressive pricing compared to other places (who aren't nearly as good as Hidden Taste btw) From one Indian lover to another...cancel what your currently ordering and give Hidden Taste a try, you will NOT be disappointed !! As someone else said, HANDS DOWN the best in Orleans, by TWO country miles. Id even say the best in Ottawa all factors considered. The only place remotely close to Hidden Taste is Kebab House on Clarence St. But it's WAYYY overpriced and caters to Parliament big wigs writing off their 200$ lunches. Our 68$ meal at Hidden Taste is 106$ at Kebab House so it's a TOTAL game changer having found this gem.

Hidden Taste is a hidden gem in Orleans.
We usually get take and this place prduces everytime. The Veg dinner for two is the way to go. Lots of food, two amazing curries, fluffy naan, samosas and a dessert.
The Palak Paneer and the Eggplant Bartha are delicious.
The staff are always great.
Parking is in the back of the restaurant.

Their food is SO GOOD! However- be aware. Dining in is such a different experience. They have this really silly “rule” or “policy” that if you dine in, everyone in the party needs to order a main dish. No sharing. Honestly, the dumbest rule ever. It’s clear they want to discourage dine-in and prioritize take out, which is their right. Hidden Taste will always be my go-to when I order out since their food is really delicious. If I want to sit with friends and have a nice meal, however, I will find a different Indian restaurant since they make it such an arduous, unpleasant experience.

I’ve heard only great things about this place so I was excited to stop in for dinner tonight with my family. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables (seems popular for take out) but very quaint and with friendly, accommodating staff. The food was delicious and did not disappoint. Even my little picky eaters both gave it 5 stars and can’t wait to return. We will absolutely be back and I highly recommend! So much flavour I’m not used to finding in Orleans. A gem for sure.
