One of the best places in the city for Indian food, incredibly fresh and delicious. Samosas and palak paneer are my absolute favourites and to die for ! Can’t wait to come back for more and to try other items on the menu.

Horrible customer service and food. Will never be coming again. The lack of respect the owners have for customers is disgusting. Will never be ordering from this restaurant again.

Absolute garbage customer service. I wanted to place an order for dinner and asked two questions prior to placing my order. The woman on the phone told me are you going to order or not, I have people waiting.???. Never experienced this type of customer service before. Absolute garbage attitude. If you don’t know how to deal with people and have a horrible attitude then you shouldn’t be answering calls and taking orders.I would understand if I was rude but I simply asked a question. I thought maybe its just her so I called back to order and the man who answered was just as rude and said “I dont have time to hear your complaint. We have a lot of customers we don’t need your order.”What type or business are you running? This is a complete joke and your business will absolutely not last if you guys are this rude to customers who have ordered from you since you’ve opened. Never ordering from this place again. I will be telling my friends and family the same.

If I could I would give them 6/5. The staff was so friendly and the food is delicious. We had the dinner for two and it was easily a dinner for three and very reasonably priced. This is our new go to spot!Parking: Plenty of room to park in the back.

They serve one of the best Indian food in Ottawa! We used to takeout from Hidden Taste, but we decided to dine-in. It was a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back for dine-in.

Fantastic Indian food in Orleans. If you ask for your food to be spicy you won’t be disappointed with no sacrifice to the delicious flavour. Loved the food warmers when dining in. Super sweet owners too. A place I will definitely return to again soon.

We ordered takeout, I was craving Indian, but something a little more affordable than our usual spot. This was great, fair price and generous portions. We ordered the veg dinner for two and it was more than enough for us. Orleans is a little far but if I'm ever in the area I will probably swing by! Thanks very much.

It was my first visit today, I was meeting friends (regulars of the restaurant) and they guide me in my choice of food. The food was good, fresh, tasty with good portions. The service, I believe done by the owner, was sympaticly done all the dishes were explained to me. I would recommend Hidden Taste to anybody who loves Indian food. Thank you.

Best Indian Food in town, hands down. Generous portions compared to other places, great prices. The family that runs the restaurant is personable and friendly. They have a lamb option on most things, which is hard to find. Several vegan dishes for those so-inclined, so you don’t need to order from two places if there’s a Vegan in your group. Food is always ready on time when we pick it up. Every dish is flavourful and consistently excellent.

I cannot rave enough about the flavour of the food from Hidden taste. Just the best Indian restaurant in the east end of Ottawa. The owners are incredibly flexible and kind and talented. I have never had anything from there that didn’t make me feel excited and comforted. Everything is always so tasty and perfect. I would eat there every day of the week if I could.

Butter Chicken:- The butter chicken had a rich and creamy sauce, with tender pieces of chicken cooked to perfection.- The flavors were well-balanced, with a perfect blend of spices and creaminess.- The dish had a slight sweetness that was complemented by a hint of tanginess from the tomatoes.- Served with fluffy rice or warm naan, it made for a satisfying and comforting meal that is sure to please any palate.Beef Vindaloo:- The beef vindaloo had a bold and robust flavor, with tender pieces of beef simmered in a spicy and tangy sauce.- The spice level was intense but not overpowering, allowing the flavors of the spices to shine through.- The dish had layers of complexity, with hints of vinegar, garlic, and various spices adding depth to the flavor profile.- Paired with rice or naan, it provided a hearty and satisfying meal that left a lingering warmth on the palate.Aloo Samosa:- The aloo samosas were crispy and golden brown, with a flavorful filling of spiced potatoes and peas.- The pastry was flaky and light, providing the perfect contrast to the hearty filling.- Served with chutney or dipping sauce, they made for a delicious appetizer or snack.- The spices used in the filling were well-balanced, providing just the right amount of heat and flavor without overwhelming the palate.- Overall, aloo samosas are a classic Indian snack that is always a crowd-pleaser, perfect for any occasion.

This place is by far the best Indian food spot in Orleans in my opinion. I've tried quite a few other spots and used to eat elsewhere but once I tried this food, that was it!! The portions, flavours, price...cannot be beat! Their samosas are gigantic, spice and seasoning on point and it's a family run joint. I have had them cater for me on a larger scale as well and everyone wanted to know where I got the food! I eat here at least once a month!Vegetarian options: The samosas are veggie and I could eat a meal of just these and be satisfied!Parking: Large free parking lot at the rear of the restaurant
