I have been eating at Rangoli’s since 2014 and unfortunately each time since has been worse than the previous. The last time I ordered from Rangoli’s I decided it would really be my last due to mould on their food and most of all a disrespectful attitude towards customers. My friend and I ordered the dinner for two which includes a dessert of Gulab Jamun. While the curry was adequate, it did taste less fresh than it should. However, the worst of it was the Gulab Jamun. Following our meal I took a spoonful and saw fuzzy green mould on it. I understand mistakes happen and mould could simply be a product of being stored in a warm moist kitchen, but it was obvious that this was not fresh.Once we realized the mould, my friend suggested letting them know in case they had a whole batch of Gulab Jamun that had gone bad. We went back to the restaurant the next day and my friend discreetly advised them of what had happened along with showing the picture of the aforementioned mould. The hostess claimed that it was not mould and did not even apologize for a less than fresh meal. She then proceeded to say that it was “crystallized sugar” knowing full well that there is no way a fuzzy green spot could be sugar.Following this experience I have to admit I was shocked. It is one thing to serve an old batch of food but to be rude to fairly regular customers is unacceptable. My advice is spend your money going to a better restaurant that can admit when they have made a mistake and makes service a priority. If I could I would give zero stars.

I always love Indian food even though I have no idea what to ask for. This is a great local restaurant that serves incredible food. I had no idea what to order so my friend took over and ordered items that sounded like the bad guy list in a Star Wars movie. Nice restaurant that is quiet and could even be considered romantic with the right person. My Star Wars name slinging buddy did not make it feel romantic.

I have decided to try this Orleans local indian restaurant, what a disappointment…Butter chicken was dry, tasteless, drenched in tomato paste sauce almost like they nuked the chicken first in microwave and threw it in their bland tomato sauce. Tandoori chicken was dry, tasted and smelled fishy with an odd color, curry side was watery and tasteless with 4 tiny pieces of potatoes with a few peas, the raita was watery and not appetizing, the naan bread was soggy…What a shame..Worst part, they are charging $61 for this..My advice, go to McDonalds, they’re food taste like a Michelin Star restaurant compared to this place. What a shame, make yourself a favor, give it a pass…One word: Disgusting. We ended up throwing the food and order something else..Shame on this place. If you are looking for authentic, flavourful and homemade style butter chicken or any other indian dishes, I strongly recommend that you give a try to Roast’n Curries. It is located downtown but the drive is worth it.

First and last time (take out experience). Food tasted horrible! As previous comments, tandori chicken over cooked and dry with a fish taste and smell, butter chicken sauce tasteless and chicken tasted old and reheated. Simply not edible! Complete waste of money.Vegetables mix was mainly spicy sauce with hardly no vegetables. If fresh and quality food is a priority, for you, go elsewhere. A few indian food restaurants in the downtown area are worth the extra drive!

Horrible service, disrespectful receptionist, you come all the way to restaurant to get a take out order, very impolite receptionist, very rude, not even saying thank you or hello, rather paying other customers that are in line behind me then answering questions and serving me first although I came first. You have to wait because you are not a priority. It’s all about money. The worst of all. They get your order wrong because obviously, they were not even listening to you! you call them to tell them that the order is wrong and they blame you for not being clear enough, arguing with you!!!!! asking you to come back all the way to the restaurant again to replace the order, not even apologizing or caring that your lunch break is over and you cannot go back. Horrible service, I will never go back there again, I used to order once a week from them on Uber eats, well guess what, you have lost a loyal customer because you are so rude and disrespectful. Good bye Rangoli!!!!!!

We haven't been here in a really long time (pre-pandemic). I'm happy to report that NOTHING has changed! The food is as delicious as it always has been. So nice to see they survived all the shutdowns. One of our favourite spots. We won't let this much time pass again.
