I love shawarma and make it a goal to try as many places as possible. This shawarma spot is definitely top 3 in Ottawa. It tastes so good and bonus, the chef wraps the shawarma excellently so you’re not fighting to keep it in place when eating lol.

First time at Shawarma Chef, and already recommended the place to couple of my friends. We have tried their chicken Saj platter. and the taste was amazing. The chicken marination was very good and wrapping it with the thin bread ( markouk ) made it especially tasteful combined with their own signature of the batata harra ( fries with garlic and cilantro) that completed the delicious meal. We have ordered the Family platter from Shawarma chef on several occasions. The food has been consistent, plenty, and very flavorful. It's got a lot of salads, meat, rice, potato, pickled veggies, and Hummus/sauce. They definitely don't cheap out on pita breads either. I think with one family platter, We were able to feed four adults and a kid before. With two platters, we were able to feed five adults and three kids. I think we prefer the beef over chicken by the way. The chicken can be a bit dry though so we get beef. Anyway. Shawarma chef has been our go to spot for Shawarma. Don't think we'll stop anytime soon.
