Garlic is good but portions are much smaller and chicken was dry
It was good but nowhere in my top 5 for Orleans.
The gentleman serving was very fun, gave great suggestions, and the food was excellent
For ever my favourite spot
What a disappointment! The choices of sides were disgusting. The salad was brownish, the tomatoes had a white film.... it wasn't fresh and looked like it had been there for days. Never again!
Beef Shawarma was okay, garlic potatoes were not good at all.
The chicken was extremely dry, and the rice is a plain and bland. The fattoush salad was very fresh and tasty, potatoes were fine too. The hummus isn't any special.
Great food and friendly staff. The fries are very tasty especially with the house garlic sauce.
Not a good experience. The chicken was so dry that it was like chewing on leather. Nothing in the platter was fresh, as if it had been sitting behind the counter for days.
Customer service was amazing, the guy at cash was very kind. The beef shawarma was good but the chicken shawarma was extremely dry even with added sauces, some pieces of the chicken looked like dog treats. The fries were inedible, they were all thin and freakishly long, so many were burnt and rock solid. The garlic sauce was very good! The place wasn’t very clean… Seems like the owner puts more money into the decor of himself instead of the quality of the food or the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Garlic King has gone down hill just spent $70+ dollar of food for a family plater they have grown so cheap that they weight out the meat I have never seen sucks a place do such a thing 99% of Shawarma restaurants just give you a really nice portions was fees 8 people so I had to buy and extra bag of pitas because there only 6 in a pack where all other place would have just throw in a bag for free also had to buy an extra 250gm of chicken to make there was enough to feed there 8 people after all the staff insisted that it would not be enough to feed everyone. Well you lost us as a customer Garlic King been going here for 16years
Wonderful gluten-free good. Friendly and warm service. Would highly recommend.

Wonderfully kitsch restaurant with genuine gluten free dishes. The tabuleh is divine, the chicken shawarma juicy with thick and quality cuts, and the customer service absolutely stellar. The cashier gentleman has serious rizz. The food is fresh and homestyle - not sure exactly how to explain it but some shawarma places taste “corporate.” This place tastes like it was made with love. I got a large-sized platter and it had enough in it for four meals. On first glance it appears to have less meat than other places but it’s because it’s not thinly shaved. The meat chunks here are dense and the portion is generous, despite some complaints in reviews.

The only thing I can say is edible is the tabbouleh; the shawarma chicken platter is a very small portion and not tasty at all.
Update: We ended up throwing away most of the food because it was simply inedible. Not only was the food disappointing, but the service was also terrible. The owner’s response to complaints is unprofessional, and based on their reply, it seems they even prefer their food served poorly.

I have been going to Garlic King for years for their gluten free chicken shawarma and it never disappoints. The people who work there take the food allergy very seriously and have separate areas and ensure no contamination.
Tonight, I went and was excited to try the new GF poutine that was advertised. I was sooooo disappointed. It was almost cold and the fries looked like they had been fried to a crunch. I am hoping it was just a bad night and it was really busy.
