We have been getting most of our Chinese takeout from Willie’s for many years. We have always deemed it to be the best in Orleans. One of our favourites, Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls has definitely changed since our last order-maybe a month ago or so. The chicken was always tender & the batter & sauce was the best.
Yesterday, the chicken balls in our order were substandard. The batter was soggy & the sauce was awful. There is so much dye in this new sauce that I could hardly eat it, and not the usual sw/sour. taste that I liked. I kept thinking they looked like big blobs of blood on my plate. It has grossed me out & I will never be able to order them again from Willie’s.

The way I feel right now after eating this meal. Im super dissapointed in myself. I requested gluten-free. This meal was not gluten free. I eat out all the time and havent got a gluten reactions like this since December on vacation outside the country. Gluten-free is not just the ingredients, it's avoiding cross-contact with items that have gluten. Using the same cooking ustensil, pots, etc. Please take 5mins to read on Celiac Disease as its important if you offer gluten free options to know how it affects your customers.

Willies, the General tao does not taste the same, it used to have a crunch and a spicy kick. It came very soft, and cold I ordered mixed vegetables not much flavor and it was cold as well.

My husband is home from the military and all he wanted for his birthday was dinner from Willie's. We are long time customers, but gotta say, we were quite disappointed this time. 1. They ran out after him cause they forgot our fried won tons. 2. They forgot to pack the lemon sauce for our lemon chicken. 3. We asked to substitute chop suey for chow mein, but we got the chow mein. 4. The general Tao chicken was not in a sealed container and leaked through one whole bag of food. After going back a second time for the chow mein and lemon sauce, I missed the birthday dinner with the family. I made my plate but found 5. the lemon chicken was cooked to the point that the meat was hard. Not edible and it went straight into the food green bin. 6. Same for the chicken wings, green bin. For some reason we had 20 fortune cookies with a dinner for 5, and they threw in an extra fried rice for us having to come back. But sorry, that really didn't make up for much when we had to throw out 2 dishes, had to make 2 trips and our family celebration was spoiled :( :(

The portions are very generous, definitely get what you pay for, the food itself has been outstanding everytime! One of my go to places!

Willie's is healthy, fresh, simple and perfect. Sometimes the perfect dinner is a simple stir-fry and Willie's has always been delicious and great value for money.

Vegetarian options: Yes some of the best tofu

Been a customer here for decades. New owners changed recipes and quality. Absolutely awful now. "Crispy" beef is soggy, no crunch at all, and the sauces are all more water with colour than sauce. No flavor at all. Broccoli was overcooked to mush.

Never coming back.

Edit to respond to owners:

I don't want you to improve. I want my money back. If I ever planned to return, I'd care about improvements. I assure you, I won't be back, unless it's to collect my refund.

We have been ordering food from this place for over 50 years (!); to be told by the guy who answered my call that I am ignorant and « don’t call here again » and then “click” (he hung up on me) simply because I was calling to share a complaint about not receiving the food I ordered, is as we say in French, ORDINAIRE.

To the owner: this guy who constantly calls your women clients his « Love » (which is condescending and offensive) needs to be educated on how to interact with clients. I strongly suggest that you explain to him that he is not the owner, hence, does not have the authority to tell clients to not call again.

I have no intention of letting this incompetent employee dictate where I order my food but should another similar incident happen again, by his own fault for taking down orders much too quickly and not paying attention, I may have to consider supporting another restaurant (you are no longer the only chinese food resto around) and encouraging my family and friends to do the same. We drive 30 minutes back and forth to eat your food, some degree of consideration, respect, and understanding should prevail, not this fake and unwarranted drama-queen type behaviour.

I got the hot and sour soup as well as the beef with garlic sauce. The hot and sour was Abysmal just hot sludge without flavour. Beef with garlic sauce is there signature dish it’s just beef and broccoli stirfry not much garlic flavour, not great but not terrible.

The food was not worth the cost. Beef broccoli was terrible. The beef was tasteless and the broccoli was overcooked. The rest of what we ordered was just as bad.
