1st time in Whitby. Came along this gem of a DONAIR place.
Don't want to start a trademark battle w a common fast food chicken place but DOWN EAST DONAIRS are FINGER LICKING GOOD. Actually went back for more for a late nite snack, or a donair breakfast in the AM.
Staff was friendly and fun to talk with while prepping food BOTH TIMES!!!!!
In the words of a famous US leader, "WE SHALL RETURN".
Customer service & taste is excellent. Portions are weak and I was still hungry. Back home in Halifax at King of Donair I could hardly finish a medium. The mediums are like an extra small. If I’m craving a donair I would go back but would need to adjust expectations. Charge a buck more and add more meat to your servings, especially if you want any East Coaster to come back.
