“This place knows what they are doing and how to make their customers unbelievably happy; no other burger place can top their service and the quality of the food in my opinion. Have been going here since I could learn to walk! The best place in town or ever to be honest and I have and will continue to convert my friends.“

“I've been coming here for over 30 years and I've never had a bad experience. You won't find a better breakfast in Oshawa, or probably even Durham Region. Or maybe the whole world!!!
Nothing comes out of a can or a box: real hash browns, bacon cooked to perfection, and those enormous sausages are to die for.
I wasn't sure about the homemade hot mustard with breakfast, but I tried it on the ham today and it was delicious.
***An edit is needed as I forgot to mention that the Hollandaise sauce is homemade as well. That's a rarity and one of the reasons we come back there. The Eggs Benedict are the best in town!***
I've had lunch here many times as well. The giant Treehouse Club is what I usually get, and it's fantastic.
And once again, from the potato family, real and delicious french fries.
Over the years, there has been changes to some of the staff, but the servers have always been excellent, friendly and always go the extra mile.
I have friends from Oshawa who've moved away but demand a Rainbow visit every time they're in town. With me! Do you realize how good something has to be to wanna hang out with me?!?!?!?
From what I understand, this started as a family business over 65 years ago, with the son Louie eventually taking over, who happens to also be the main cook.
With so many restaurants in Oshawa being taken over by new owners who either don't understand their clientele, the food they're serving, or immediately disregarding quality ingredients to save a few dollars, The Rainbow remains true to its legendary self.
The only thing that's missing is my picture on the wall. What's up with that? Maybe next time one of my traveling musician friends comes to town, we can finally make that one happen.“
