Never ever have I had a bad experience here! Amazing chicken and goat roti! I aways have leftovers the next day. And the owners are the most wonderful people, so friendly and love to share stories!

Nice ppl, but the jerk chicken isn't very good and was served cold
Although the potato balls were good
I would not recommend the jerk chicken

Delicious boneless chicken roti. Good size for a good price.
I have been looking for a spot in Whitby/Oshawa since my old stand by closed and I’m very happy I found Ryan’s!

Tried this place on a few recommendations from a local FB restaurant review group. As a Trini, I’m usually open to trying local West Indian spots. I’m partial to Guyanese roti so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Ordered a boneless chicken roti and HANDS DOWN it was the absolute WORST roti I’ve ever had on this natural earth.
The flavour was horrid. The potatoes were UNDERCOOKED.
The shell would have been somewhat edible IF the owner didn’t douse it with watered down store bought “Matouks pepper sauce”. The shell and contents were saturated with the red dye from the pepper sauce. Threw out the $20 garbage and chose to fast for the rest of the day.
As a result, I don’t think I can look or eat roti for awhile.

Placed my order with Skip The Dishes, the order got cancelled. So I called the restaurant and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes for pick up. So I drove over and it was ready and packed to go. The lady was absolutely lovely! Food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning!
This place is way too overpriced. I paid $9.73 plus tax for a tiny box of food. The chicken curry has no potato and there was barely any meat. The paper bag was dripping in curry and liquid. This is literally half the size of take out containers you get at other restaurants. Not joking the box is literally smaller than my hand. What a rip off. Keep in mind this is the lunch special price too. Will not be coming back here. Better off getting more quality and quantity at other restaurants for the same price.

Had my MDOTR moment as a white boy eating here. Had the boneless jerk chicken with rice, beans and coleslaw with added oxtail gravy on top. My lord was this a great post workout meal. Everything was awesome; will be back again
Terrible food. Not a real jamaican restaurant. All you can taste in the food is curry. Indian cook. Also super expensive and very small portions. Do not waste your money and time with that place.

Looking for Roti go no further! Everything is homemade including the hot sauce! They even grow their own peppers ?️ for the sauce.
The Roti shells were amazing! Not dried out like some I’ve had.
The doubles were incredible this was the first time I’ve ever had them but it won’t be the last.
This restaurant has earned a spot on my places to eat at when I’m in town!
Highly highly recommended!!

I've gone to this establishment since about 2016, if not sooner. The lady who runs this place, assumingly the owner, is always so sweet. They've got plenty of tasty drink options and her coleslaw is the best I've had to date! Always a great expirence from here and the food so absolutely delicious ?

Awesome Shrimp Roti: BIG shrimp, too -- not the tiny ones that most places serve. Excellent amount of spice for me. Besan (gram flour) was just enough, without spilling over. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Roti for the same reasons - big pieces of chicken and perfect blend of spices (for people who love spicy food).
Our 8 year old found the Chicken Roti too spicy for her delicate taste buds; I'll have to specify next time.
Love the friendly, personal service by Chitri, Ryan's Mom, & Nan, Ryan's Dad: a true Mom & Pop shop. The Doubles were mushy-er (texture-wise) than I prefer, though they were delicious. Food quality was on par if not better than Roti Shops in Toronto. Flavours/Portions/Cost were the best overall value in Oshawa, from what we've eaten.
Am back regularly.
Parking: Easy, free parking.
Kid-friendliness: Chitri & Nan engage our young daughter :)
