The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Oshawa

Our waitress seemed to be rushed and we felt it. Not good for two couples out for a fine dining experience. She couldn't seem to get the bill to us fast enough. Food was excellent, as always!

It was pretty cold in the restaurant - I didn't think to bring a sweater (it was 28 degrees outside). Other than that, it was a lovely visit.

Great experience last night. We were celebrating an engagement and the waitress was great and acknowledged the celebration. The food was outstanding and all meals were cooked perfectly. The Keg could lose the beets as a side however.

Had a slight issue with our reservation and waited over 25min but the manager quickly rectified it. Kudos to him and our server George who was beyond exceptional.

We experienced another great meal at The Keg! The food and service was terrific! The noise level on the patio was a bit loud and tables felt a bit close together but overall a good experience!

Booked Friday anniversary dinner 6:15pm. Restaurant was packed, very noisy and busy. Seating was like being in a cafeteria. Server was good. The let down was cold food. The remedy was reheating (microwave?). Still barely making it to warmish. Over oily veg, cold shrimp skewer, steak cooked fine but no temperature....just like when a dish sits around for a while before being served. My meal was comp'ed, but not the point. Our special occasion was a big disappointment. This Keg is sacrificing quality for speed and lack of attention to detail.

My mom and I had an amazing experience at The Keg tonight! Our waitress, Pardis, was the absolute best! She made great conversation and made us feel genuinely welcome while providing very prompt service. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend! The food was incredible to boot. We’ll definitely be back. 😊

Had an incredible dinner with my daughter. Our server, Pardis, was incredible. She was attentive, friendly and very personable. She made an amazing dinner even more amazing. We will definitely be back and hope to enjoy her company again.

My friends and I went for a girls night out a week ago and the service was amazing and the steak was spectacular. Shout out to Kevin, our server for taking such good care of us and making our girls night out memorable!!!

I've been going to the Keg for years, multiple locations, and many times at the Oshawa location. The service was fantastic. The apps (calamari, escargot, cheese toast) were pretty good. We had three steak dinners for entrees and a kids burger meal. The steaks were all striploins, and cooked medium rare, with one going for well done. The medium rare steaks were so small (we got the biggest ones) and lacked all the tenderness I'm used to at The Keg. The peppercorn steak sauce is decent, don't bother with the whisky one, it was disgusting.

Probably not heading back anytime soon.

We had a great meal August 25. Probably best meal at the Keg to date. Great service, didn't wait too long, food was cooked to perfection, and they went the extra mile as we were celebrating a birthday.

I am not sure what is happening with this location, it has gone downhill. I was there Saturday August 16 and Friday August 22 and both times my steak was cooked wrong. Also, all my sides were lukewarm. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was also warm. On this recent visit we sat on the patio and I definitely noticed a difference in the “experience” I really appreciate them replacing my meal quickly and the second time everything was nice and hot but, I was disappointed that this happened two times in a row. My friends and family have been visiting this Keg for years and never had a problem, but they noticed a change as well. For the price you pay, I expect a better experience. I always go to this location for my birthday in September but this time I am thinking I might pass.

I'm sad to have to say good bye to the Keg once and for all. We have been regulars at this restaurant for years. Monthly sometimes weekly. We stopped going as often a year or so ago when we noticed the quality and standards were suffering. Whenever we would go, we'd order the rib steak some of the times it was ok. We decided to give them another try last weekend. Sadly, my cube shaped sirloin came medium well instead of medium rare which I had ordered. The blackened shrimp skewer was over seasoned and over cooked. One side was actually burnt and it was un-edible. The brussel sprouts were burnt and un- edible. My husband's prime rib was full of grizzle and fat. Although they took my meal and appetizer off the check my dinner that night consisted of a baked potatoe. It's a shame that the Keg has lowered it's standards to this degree and what was once in my opinion a great value with great service and standards and somewhat higher than some of the other common chain restaurants, it's sad that they are now in that category.
Sad that this happened to what used to be a great place to eat.
