We had such a great experience at the University of Ottawa Dining Hall! For the price per person, you really get access to a huge variety, from hot dishes and salads to baked goods, nachos, desserts, and fresh fruit. We tried a bit of everything: nachos with guac and sour cream, rice and veggies, mac and cheese, meats, and topped it all off with frozen yogurt and chocolate soft serve.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and everything felt fresh and well-prepared. Honestly, it’s impressive how much variety you can enjoy here, perfect for students or visitors who just want a good meal without overthinking it. We left full and happy! 🍽️😊

Very delicious food in good variety with very friendly service.

It aint that bad idk why people complaining. The food changes every day and its all cooked by chefs, not like some sorta fast food chain. Ppl gotta be more thankful sheesh.
I come here to study in one of the single seats and its very nice. People hanging out. Just living life. People just complaining cuz what else you gotta do man like cmon 💀

And that review about the smell bro idk what you smelling bro it smells completely fine. And like dude, other reviews about the staff are hilarious, because like... its a BUFFET? Your not SUPPOSED to be interacting with the staff anyways????? Just GET your food and GO SIT DOWN and ENJOY like dude????😭💀 the staff are like 100% just doing their own thing and dont bother you. I respect them. Its literally not that bad. Relax.

Don’t get the meal plan here it is terrible food is horrible quality and majority of the staff are very rude and unwelcoming like they hate their jobs and lives. They are very rude to you for simply asking for the food they are serving. The food is bland and low quality, the meat always tastes as it has been sitting out for a week, chicken is red in the center and some of the roast beef has a disgusting green tint on it. Cups forks spoons and plates sometimes have food stuck to the bottom or side which is frankly disgusting. The food is oily and there are not many good options for protein, usually u can’t self serve protein they have to serve it to you and they skimp on the portions. Coffee machines are broken half the time. The only upside is the desert area and the handfuls of employees who are not completely rude and treat the people they are serving kindly. The zero waste might seem like an upside but when u look at the compost area it makes u want to vomit, the compost are should not be so open to people trying to eat, the smell of it can also get bad. The whole cafeteria stinks, and will make your clothes stink as-well, so bring a cologne if u visit or else you will stink all day. Overall 1/10 place do not eat here if u don’t have too. Save ur health this place will make your sick.

Worst food possible. Please do not buy the meal plan. You are better off making your own food, the food is always the same three crap dishes. The employees are rude, Costs way too much money. If you love your kids dont let them get the meal plan
