Two beautiful staff people serving breakfast at the Blossom Park location out on Bank Street in Ottawa the morning of December 18. Friendly smiles, friendly personalities, very pleasant to deal with and made my day!

This is the second time this has happened. The first time, I was in a rush and had no choice but to let it go. But this time, I will not tolerate it.
When I ordered through the drive-thru, I clearly told the staff that I had the $11.99 coupon. When I reached the payment window, the gentleman asked for the code, which I gave him. I assumed everything was fine. But after I tapped to pay, he told me the total was $20.09.
I immediately said that was incorrect, and reminded him I already told the first staff member I was using a coupon — the total should’ve been $13.55 after tax. Instead of correcting it, he told me to just use the coupon next time because the food was already prepared. I said absolutely not — I wanted the transaction corrected and the overcharge refunded immediately.
Then the first staff member came over and they talked in their language which I don’t understand. She asked if I could come inside so she could sort it out, as there were three cars behind me. I explained I couldn’t — I was wearing shorts, which is exactly why I used the drive-thru in the first place. She then asked me to loop around and rejoin the line behind the other cars. I was shocked. I consider myself a reasonable person, but this was unacceptable.
I told her again: I had clearly communicated that I was using a coupon. It was your staff’s mistake, not mine — you need to fix it now. I asked if she could just refund the $20 and reprocess the correct amount. She paused, then gave me the payment machine and attempted to charge me again — without refunding the original $20. I had to stop her again.
Finally, she took out $20.10 in cash and handed it to me — not in the most polite manner. Though she ended with an apology, blaming the gentleman for not knowing about the coupon, the issue is much deeper. There is a serious lack of communication and accountability here, and it reflects poor management.
This kind of service is unacceptable — once might be a mistake, but twice is a pattern.

Worst location, not only is food poorly prepared but the staff have given themselves tips I never authorized. The price you get at the kiosk is not the price yet pay at the window. Realised twice after tapping that the prices didn't match. They never give a receipt and the prices don't match other locations for the same order. Beware

Went to purchase a meal to go. I didn't find two of the three veggie options I want. I got two beyond meat burgers which were very bad probably uncooked. I also got onion rings which were old and apple juice which tasted bad. My experience is usually better than this but I will not be coming back to this location again.

This location has been out of seasoning salt for nearly a month now, leaving the burgers tasting bland compared to how they normally should. It is also often understaffed.

They didn't give me a receipt for my purchase I bought two teen burgers .
Both we're disgusting not sure if they are the cheaper beef or something.
I'm not sure if this bacon is supposed to look like this but it was gross.
Friday I have the same thing at Saint Laurent mall a&w.
And it was perfect, the one on Heron road.
It is the same thing as this one on Bank.

The absolute slowest drive through I have ever waited in.
I waited so long that I had more than enough time to write this review before I got anywhere near the front of the line. I have since gone back to update it to include my entire experience.
I initially wrote the review and stayed that I had been parked in the drive through for 10 minutes and was still 4 cars away. I was clearly already frustrated. Things got worse.
I waited another 15 minutes to the front of line. In total it took 25 minutes for the restaurant to service a fairly small number of cars.
When I finally got to the window to pay it was clear that the woman operating the window was also doing several other jobs in the restaurant. When I was finished paying with the machine, she had left and I was stuck holding the machine waiting even longer before I could finally leave with my lacklustre burger.
I still cannot understand how any of that could possibly happen. I could have eaten at a sit down restaurant and had a sandwich in that time. I will never, ever be back and A&W should close down that franchise immediately. I usually enjoy the food and experience. After reading the other reviews, this is clearly not a one time occurrence at this franchise.
Don’t stop here if you have any upcoming meetings. When I first stopped I was 10 minutes ahead of schedule. I ended up being 15 minutes late and cancelled my meetings. There is no way to escape the drive through lane once you are in it. I will not return and have told everyone I know never to go to that location.
