I ordered the chicken leg plate, and the menu clearly said I could choose either fried or plantain.
The price was supposed to be $22.68 plus tax, but the server asked me to pay over $27, saying, “I chose the plantain and the system changed the price!”
I responded, “But your menu says the plantain is included in the plate.”
The server admitted, “I know, but the system changed the price, and it’s not my fault!”
This makes it sound like the restaurant is run by the POS system with no human oversight from the owner. The attitude of “I know the system price is wrong compared to the menu, but what can I do? It’s better that the customer pays more than for me to fix it” is simply not acceptable.
It’s no surprise there were zero customers at 6 p.m. with this kind of service. The owner should hire better servers, because this one is driving customers away and hurting your business.

An awesome find while visiting from out of town. The shawarma was very flavourful but a bit tough. The kebab was amazing. Definitely recommended!

I am a big fan of African BBQ restaurants, but my recent experience was disappointing. The food was not fresh; the chicken legs and rice were quite hard. Compared to other branches, the quality was awful. No one asked if I had preferences regarding spice level and other options; fries or plantains. Additionally, the door in front of the kitchen was very noisy whenever it was opened or closed. The employees were quite talkative in both the kitchen and dining area, which made me concerned about hygiene. When I paid for the food, I could smell a hint of smoke.

Tried it for the first time yesterday, ordered a half veggie and half cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was the best I've had since moving to Ottawa 1 year ago. The veggie was also good however it just didn't taste as good as the cheese side, and also the veggies didnt seem that fresh, but was still good. I would recommend.
