Extremely tasty Mexican food, I'm always on the lookout for great Mexican restaurants here in Canada and Ahora doesn't disappoint, from the bright vibrant atmosphere to the tasty salsa's, I am extremely pleased, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Good food, unpretentious restaurant. Not a lot of tables but we always manage to get seated. They have a salsa bar, which is always nice. Service is pretty quick.

Dropped by on a beautiful, but extremely hot Saturday afternoon, we loved the decor, AC was nice and service was friendly. You go up to the counter and pay before getting your order. Water and their salsas/toppings are all self serve and were fresh.
The food here on the other hand was really disappointing. We ordered the Pollo Asado and everything besides the salad was very old. The chicken was dark meat, which is a juicy cut of meat/hard to mess up, but what we got was really salty, tasted burnt, dry and had burnt carbon all over. It's clear this was old and not freshly cooked and most likely cooked on a dirty grill with the amount of carbon covering the pieces. The rice was also dry, tasted bland, not typical of freshly cooked Mexican rice. We tried most of the salsas and they were pretty bland. Salad was ok. Our friend got this black bean dip and it also didn't taste that fresh and lacked seasoning.
All in all, seems like a nice spot, but the food was a 1/5 for us. Mexican food is usually made with love, care and tastes amazing, just unfortunate we did not get that here.

First time back after many years hoping for same experience as I had remembered.
First thing is it doesn’t open until noon for lunch so keep that in mind. Second is the prices have obviously been increased with inflation which is to be expected but I do agree with others that the quality and size isn’t as I remembered.
It’s “good” and I’ll leave it at that.

I used to love to come to this place but not anymore. I've noticed a decline in the food taste, size and presentation since the last years. I ordered a burrito de carne with rice on the side. The rice was dry and the meat in the burrito too. The meat has no taste and chewy. It wasn't fresh from the day. My wife ordered a burrito de pollo and chips on the side. The burrito was fill with more beans and rice than chicken. This was the last time I'll go to this restaurant. A total disappointment. 😠
My favourite place to get a burrito in Ottawa. Great location downtown, but easy to miss since it’s downstairs. I’ve never had an issue getting seated, and service is quick. You order and pay at the front, and then they bring your order to your table. The Cinco De Mayo beer-margarita is a great addition as well.

Most authentic Mexican in Ottawa. Great food, great vibe all around, a place I’d recommend if you’re visiting. Burritos are phenomenal and so is the rice. They also have a sauce/topping bar where you can choose your favourite sauces/toppings. Prices were fair for what you get, food is filling and tasty.
