⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had the chance to celebrate my birthday at Aiana Restaurant Collective, and I have to say that the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
First of all, a huge thank you to Oliwer, our server, who provided impeccable service, combining professionalism, courtesy and great attention to detail. He knew how to make our evening smooth and pleasant, with precise recommendations and great energy. Special mention also to the bartender, who was generous enough to capture precious moments between my girlfriend and I with a Polaroid, a thoughtful gesture that really marked this special evening.
🍽️ The Meal
Aiana’s cuisine is a true tribute to quality ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors.
🥩 Entries:
- Pig 🍏: A tasty dish where the sweetness of the apple and the texture of the quinoa enhance the richness of the pork, all enhanced by a delicate Robert Sauce.
- Salmon 🐟: A balanced and refined plate, with perfectly cooked lentils and a tangy touch of sea buckthorn which gives a beautiful depth of taste.
- Partridge 🍁: A magnificent discovery! The meat was tender, accompanied by an original combination of plantain, cabbage and a subtle touch of jalapeño.
- Halibut 🍊: A light and delicate dish, with a perfectly executed sauce that highlighted the finesse of the fish.
🍰 Dessert:
Nanaimo 🍫🥥: A revisited and sophisticated version of the classic, with melting textures and an explosion of flavors between chocolate and coconut.
And to top it all off, the little tartlet offered as a birthday surprise was a delicate touch that really touched me!
⭐️ The Experience
Beyond the meal, it is the entire experience that makes Aiana unique:
-High-end and personalized service
- Elegant and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a special evening
- Special attentions that make all the difference
This restaurant combines refinement, human warmth and exceptional gastronomy. A must-see address in Ottawa for lovers of haute cuisine and memorable moments.
I will come back without hesitation!

Best restaurant in Ottawa!
By far one of the most memorable culinary experiences of my life. Everything from the service, the wine, to the extremely generous and flavourful tasting menu were absolutely perfect. This restaurant beats the quality of many Michelin stared restaurants I have experienced.
Thank you Chef Raghav and team, I will be back!

We chose Aiana for date night and were delighted from the moment we walked in. The staff greeted us warmly, took our coats, and escorted us to our table with great courtesy. The ambiance was superb, and the bar was stunning, reminiscent of one I had seen at a resort in the Dominican Republic—truly breathtaking!
Even before our appetizers arrived, we were treated to thoughtful extras: a non-alcoholic shot made with orange juice from the bar and a small sample of their butternut squash soup from the kitchen. I don’t usually enjoy butternut squash soup, but this one was exquisite!
For our mains, I had the shrimp, and my husband ordered the beef. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. We also tried the scallop and chowder, which were packed with incredible flavor. While the portions may look small at first glance, they’re so rich and satisfying that we felt completely full by the time we finished dessert.
Our server, Oliver, was exceptional—polite, friendly, and attentive. He thoughtfully recommended a few tweaks to our orders, and we’re so glad we took his advice.
I learned that they update their menu periodically, and I’m already looking forward to our next visit. Aina delivered a truly memorable dining experience!
Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options available.
Parking: The corner of Queen and Kent has an open parking lot that charges $6 for the weekend.

We had been there for dinner for our group meeting. The place is really a gem, the interior is beautiful, and every part of the restaurant appears to be selected carefully to match the ambiance. They have a quite large hall where large team meeting can be done. The food was good too.

We went last Friday for a friend’s birthday dinner. We were a group of 10 and were placed in a private room which was nice. We were offered a menu which had a lot of appetizing choices. I settled on the Foie Gras for appetizer and scallops for main. The presentation was on point. Sadly, we could barely taste the foie gras. Portion was small which is standard in this type of restaurant but you’d expect the taste to be on point. Other people who had also ordered the foie gras were also disappointed. Two people ordered the prawn appetizer and were disappointed that it was a plain cooked prawn with a crab salad. Someone had the Bannock and they really enjoyed it. The portion was huge. The scallops were good but again, it was missing something. It just felt underwhelming. The dish came luke warm. I had a taste of my partner’s halibut which was really good. Someone had the pasta and thought that it was missing something acidity. She didn’t finish the plate. I finally settled on a desert called mango. Which was lacking a lot of mango flavour. Tasted more like cardamom which I like but again, the overall flavours of the dish were lacking. The only word I can find is “weak”. Others had the arabica which they enjoyed. The waitress was nice but wasn’t very experienced. The wine bottle was placed away from our table and we had to get up ourselves to refill the glasses on two occasions. Some people received their dish 5 minutes after the rest of the group. Some elements were missed (that were supposed to be added table side) and I had to point it out twice to the waitress. I ordered a decaf coffee which was very watered down and definitely not worth 8$. Then we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our bills. There were 3 couples who had their checks together and the remaining were solo, 7 checks in total. 3 checks had errors on them. Another 10-15 minutes to have them sorted out. Service was included. I don’t know how much it was but it was certainly more than what I would’ve given. We then found out that some people were offered a coat check, we didn’t know that it was an option until it was time to leave. I’m not sure if we just had bad luck on that night given all the other stellar reviews. For 330$ for two people, it was certainly not worth that. Unfortunately, I won’t return

Our waiter made the experience great! (Saving the stars in my review). Hostess could use some work. The menu should be updated online and in person, vegan options should be listed, it's 2024
Dietary restrictions: They need to add these options on their menu

What works of culinary art! The dishes were so thoughtfully and deliciously rendered and presented. Standouts: Fagottini entrée and Arabica for dessert. Just wow.

I’m giving this a low rating because of the general manager. He was so rude to my friends and I. The evening was saved by the chef and the wonderful servers.
We spoke to the GM about how we felt uncomfortable as he was picking on everything we did and was just generally rude and his response was “okay, fine” then he walks off. I don’t even think I’ve ever experienced something so rude and unnecessary at any fine dining place before.
I most likely won’t dine here again as you are greeted by his old face and I hope I never have to encounter him again.
At least the food was okay and the chef tried his best to make my friends birthday dinner okay.
