But do not order takeaway. For two people they barely give out any banchan even if you ask for extra. Wish there was an option to pay to get extra. Sadly only got just 1.5 pieces of potato per person for the banchan...

My husband and I had been driving by this restaurant for a while now wanting to try it. We decided last night was the perfect time. It was fantastic! Our server was so helpful with her menu suggestions and the food was amazing! With the top notch food and service, this restaurant is a gem. Thank you Alirang!

No idea what happened but recently ordered takeout and food was just not good compared to last time we had it in June 2024. Seafood pancake tasted very starchy and beef bulgogi was just ok. Will be sticking to the Rideau location going forward.

For weekend lunch at a restaurant, it used to take 35 minutes from ordering to serving. If you can't wait that long, I don't recommend going there at this time. The waitress was generally good. The only male waiter had no sense of service and made a face to communicate with customers and didn't respond. It felt like the customer was dissatisfied. It seems that I care about the food. The dishes are delicious and the authentic Korean style. The checkout is cash and there are discounts. Tips must be communicated and paid in time. The overall feeling is OK. I hope the boss can train the service awareness and add chefs during peak periods to make the guests' dining experience more comfortable.

I’ve been going to Alirang for over 10 years and I’ve always always gotten the M7 (Pork Bone Soup) I used to order or visit this location at least once every 2 weeks. I’m not sure what changed but the food is not the same (went from amazing to mediocre), the prices are higher and the side dishes are now tiny.

The change has been so drastic, that the first time we tried the new recipe, my partner called the restaurant thinking something had gone wrong.

I keep trying this again place every so often out of sheer denial, wishfully thinking the old recipe might be back but I’ve been disappointed each time. I can’t justify the price for the experience any longer, sad to say it’s the end of an era. If you’re considering, just get the shawarma. lol

I only wish I had the balls to ask for the original M7 recipe because it was addicting and I’ve been trying to recreate it for years. Sad because I used to recommend this place to everyone who asked.

Food is okay. I do feel the quantity and quality have run down over the years. Waiters are doing their best. But they missed your requests, I don’t blame them, they are too busy. The boss should hire at least one or two more waiters. You have to wait for the food for a long time, and when you are ready to leave, you have to wait for a long time till they bring you the box to pack.
