The food was good, but not what I expected. They changed my rib, which was full of cartilage, and potatoes were cold. The new plate was way better, but it was still just average. I am sure I just got the short end of the stick as they seem good. My plate was just average at very best
Visiting Ottawa and heard Al's Steakhouse was the place to go to for Steak. Unfortunately you can tell the waiter did not want to be there or service us. The only interaction we got was at the beginning to take our orders. Didnt even bother saying good night to us. Very disappointing evening with great food.
Went to Al’s to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent but the waiter was not friendly. He seemed annoyed and not happy to be working. I called ahead to reserve a table and told the hostess about the birthday - the waiter did absolutely nothing to make our dinner experience feel welcomed. We noticed at the end of the night after we paid, he left to go change and never said goodnight.
