What a beautiful trendy spot! I had such a wonderful birthday celebration there today. Our chef was beaming with pride for his dishes and the atmosphere was friendly and classy. I loved the below taste experience main - packed with flavour. My only complaint is I could have stayed longer! (we had a show to catch)

We had high expectations from this restaurant based on the reviews. But my friends and I were very disappointed. The 2 stars are for the kind chef who kept checking in and for the presentation of the food. The restaurant didn't have a clear sign and it was black with a very thin white writing it was so unnoticeable we had a very hard time finding it and we thought there was only a tattoo place because those were the only visible signs. The entrance to the place is not nice at all. It's a basement, and it is very small. It's not recommended for claustrophobic people. Our server was kind of harsh and was talking to us like we were students and she was insisting on what we should order and didn't give us a chance to explore the menu as we please as it felt she was forcing us to pick certain items! We felt intimidated by her. The food was strange and it was not mediterranean whatsoever. The lamb on hummus was like a porridge and not how it should be at all. The chicken was like deli or smoked meat, and the Spanish rice was very gooey and weird. The kabab and salad were mediocre. Nothing impressive except the presentation of the food. It was an overall bad experience, and sorry I would not recommend this place.

Had the lamb shank which was fall off the bone cooked, but it lacked the signature lamb taste that I expected.
The pistachio feta dip was green and had the crunch of pistachio, but wasn't as special as I thought it would be.
Shrimp with couscous was also fine, but the couscous was slightly overcooked.
The atmosphere is great and the same with the staff. After being very excited to finally get resos we were disappointed in the end. It was fine, but I wouldn't go back for that price.

First time at Ayla's. The service was fantastic, Jacqueline was helpful with all the menu items. I had the brisket which was tender and you added as much spice as you needed. Had the best chocolate cake I have ever had, light and moist and the icing was not too sweet. I would recommend this restaurant.

My husband took me here for my birthday, highly recommend the pistachio feta dip and the baked Brie. The mains were good, but I would go back many times just for the mezze, drinks and atmosphere! The lamb and chicken is halal as well. Highly recommend

Wow! This place is absolutely amazing - a real hidden gem! The food was out of this world, and the staff were so attentive and friendly. The chef's passion really shone through, he made sure everyone was delighted with their meal - he personally brought out every dish to our table. We were blown away by everything. The lamb and the feta/pistachio dip were absolute standouts! The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. We're already planning our next visit because we can't wait to try more dishes from the menu. Huge thanks to Ayla’s Social Kitchen for making our night so unforgettable!
