The staff at this place are the high point of the experience. They know the fine details of the menu and make great recommendations regarding both food and drink. The food is terrific as well. I have never been disappointed.

Great atmosphere! Wine selection was good with some great food pairing wines, cocktails sounded great though didn't actually have one. Food was very good, a couple underwhelming dishes but overall very good. Server was inattentive.

The ambience was nice ( cozy heated back yard and nice lighting) , food was good but over priced! Also, more “regular” options, such as steak, would have been nice instead of thin sliced bison charcuterie.

One of the best spots in Ottawa for trying new and interesting craft beer and unique local dishes. Dozens of rotating taps with some really interesting stuff that’s always changing. The culinary team also puts a lot of work into an ever-changing menu showcasing local ingredients, house-made pickled vegetables, cured meats, and preserves. On top of that, the overall atmosphere and decor is super well done. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This is must-go for anyone who is a craft beer and local food enthusiast.

I have weird dietary restrictions and it is usually difficult for me to go out and eat, but once a year on our anniversary my husband and I know we can go here and enjoy our special evening out without my having to worry about what is in the dish. The servers and kitchen staff are amazing and the food is fantastic.

Highly recommended. The food was delicious. For appetizer - bison carppacio & tomato salad (which was very very very good) - got the charcoal pasta & bison pasta (just WOW) - for desert we got the assorted sorbet with amazing flavors and the peach tea cake with the yummiest honey combs - It was worth every bite. Will definitely go back to try other things on the menu!

Bar Lupulus was recommended to us by a friend for our anniversary, and at first, I was skeptical. My husband is more of a hamburger-and-poutine kind of guy (not exactly an “advanced palate”), so I wasn’t sure how he'd take to it — but I’m so glad we went.
We both agreed: it was one of the best meals of our lives. Every bite was a perfectly balanced explosion of flavour. We genuinely wanted to give the chefs not just a compliment, but a hug.
You can feel the tender love and care from the owners in the atmosphere and in every dish. Truly unforgettable.
