My first time to Barrio with my daughter and two friends was a very fun time. We enjoyed the flavourful drinks and the shared appetizers- a salad and carpaccio ( thinly sliced vegetable dish). We each chose a main which we also shared. The salmon, chicken and braised beef were all delicious.
We talked ourselves into sharing the chocolate dessert and the three milk cake. A good decision.
Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. At the end I ordered a take out sandwich which she carefully packed each food item separately so nothing got soggy.
The Latino decor was refreshing and inviting. I hope to return soon.

Great food, amazing service!

The vinaigrette on the salad is wonderful as are the sauces. I’d definitely recommend those.

What an amazing restaurant!! I didn’t realize they served Brunch however I was pleasantly surprised when I walked by at 1030am seeing they were open at 930am! I would definitely recommend going! The potatoes were delicious, reminded me of Broadways potatoes just less deep fried, which I much rather. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff were all so kind! Hoping the get the brunch recognition they deserve!!

Very excited that Barrio has added brunch to their offerings! It's wonderful to have another brunch addition to the Byward Market. Shout out to JP who took care of us and provided us with helpful attentive service. Would recommend the yummy Huevos rancheros with mushrooms! We'll be back!

Me and my family loves this restaurant despite it also being a bar. The food was great, service was amazing (thank you Mariana), and the music was top tier. The best part was the free tres leches cake for my dad birthday! We will definitely return. If you were to ask for a server, as for Mariana, she was great!

I’m a big fan of the branding and the concept, especially knowing what the sister restaurant represents. The drinks and service were good, both friendly and well executed. However, the food fell a bit short of my expectations. It’s been a few months, and unfortunately, the paisa empanadas still don’t quite capture the authentic flavor — the taste and texture are noticeably different from what they should be. I truly hope to see the menu evolve, because the place has amazing potential.

The food is overpriced for what it offers. If a restaurant promises authentic Colombian or Argentine flavors, it should truly respect the taste and culture of those cuisines. Everything I tried had a clear Peruvian seasoning instead. On top of that, the sausages in the salchipapas were extremely greasy and dripping with oil. Another thing that makes me not want to return is the lack of parking nearby, I had to park at the Rideau Mall and pay extra, which adds to the overall disappointment. The place itself is interesting, but unfortunately, not worth the experience.

We were served by Mariana who was super nice and the service was super quick and efficient. The food was finger licking good. The star of the show was the tres leches cake which was divine!! Will definitely go back!

We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful Peruvian restaurant.

We were given fantastic service by two ladies.

The beer was cold.

We had empanadas, plantain and guac, pork bites and braised beef. It wa wonderful. Tasted great and the price was event.

We will visit again.

Really impressed by this find!
The cocktails were fantastic, the service was excellent and attentive, and the food—wow!
The appetizers were absolutely delicious, and the main platter was generous enough to share.
Such a great experience. Thanks 🙏

We left an expensive birthday cake to pick up the following day. They said they’d put it in the fridge. Drove into town the next day and they had thrown it in the garbage. And the hostess laughed about it. So not impressed with this place, not going to touch on the price vs amount/quality.
