A contact and I had a great lunch here. I had the crab, mango and avocado dish which was fresh and very tasty. The service was immaculate. The only reason I give it four stars is that it can get a bit noisy when full.

The service was excellent. Attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I was very pleased by the service. However, the food left much to be desired. I had the salmon salad. The salad dressing was fine, but the salmon was dry and overcooked. I also had a Chardonnay, which was lovely and the pour was generous. The Parmesan cracker that came with the salad was an interesting and very nice touch.

Bazille has become the go-to restaurant destination for my friend and I, where we celebrate our birthdays, and now 62-year friendship with copious amounts of wine and conversation, and food. The menu is varied just enough, the food so dependably tasty, and the service is consistently professional, helpful and attentive. Today's star was Adam, the server par excellence, whose people skills, knowledge of the food and wine menu, and tolerance of rather tipsy old "girls" were just what we two gals needed. Another great outing to Bazille, creating sweet memories for us.

Beautiful restaurant with extremely friendly \u0026 attentive staff, Manager was checking in on tables. Which we thought was exceptional. French onion soup was extremely tasty but really salty. Calamari was very good. Beef dip sandwich was quality but on the salty side. My partner found the burger acceptable but not memorable. A true 4/5.

Good food and service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning due to high cost of meal. I ordered fish and chips and one glass of wine for lunch. With the tip the meal cost me just over $70.

Bazille used to be one of my favourite restaurants downtown. I was there this week and ordered one of the specials. It was spaghetti and meatballs. When it arrived, I felt deceived. The meatballs were chicken meatballs. If they are going to serve chicken meatballs, it needs to be specified. They were the most dried out horrible meatballs I've ever had. The tomato sauce was also very bad, the chef certainly doesn't know how to make sauce. I was with a group of people and we were on a tight schedule so I didn't return the dish or say anything.

Amazing hidden gem! Staff are fantastic and food is great too - great taste and great value for money. One of my favourite places.

Unfortunately Bazille has gone to a brunch menu for the weekend. I do not want brunch, I want lunch. I loved their past menu, do not like the brunch menu. So we will not be going back on the weekend. We have been going to Bazille on a regular basis for years and I am unhappy that they are now not my go to lunch place on the weekend.

My favourite part of shopping at Rideau is to dine here. Every sigle time, every single dish is made to perfection. I love the fact that simple dishes are elevated and made with love. Can’t wait to go back!

I was a little skeptical about a restaurant in a department store in a mall, but the food and drink were actually quite good and reasonably priced! The Brussels sprouts appetizer had a nice kick to it. The local beer was tasty and the cocktails were decent. The fish & chips and sandwiches and salads were all quite tasty and large portions with fresh ingredients.

My girlfriend and I have a standing date once a month, rain, snow or shine, to have lunch here. Always great, service, food and ambiance. Geat little gem hidden away in Nordstrom

During my recent trip to Ottawa on vacation, we visited Nordstrom and visited Bazille. I had seen the menu online and it looked really good. While wandering through the store this past Saturday around 10:30am, we looked at the menu again and decided to come back at 11am for lunch. When we arrived, we were told we had seen the wrong menu and were given the brunch menu. Hugh disappointment. While the brunch menu looked nice, we really wanted the regular menu options. Too embarrassed to leave after being sat, we decided to stay. We ordered the spinach dip to start, then two breakfasts with eggs and homemade chicken sausage. The spinach dip was okay. It was very runny and the bread with it was not good. The problem with the bread was that it was heavy on the herbs. Then you added the dip and you did not know which was which. The dip by itself tasted okay. With the bread, it was salty and not great. I had the breakfast with scrambled eggs and the chicken sausage. I was told that I would have multigrain toast with it, which was great because I prefer multigrain. When my breakfast arrived, I had plain white bread. That was disappointing. My eggs were very pepper focused and sausage was nothing special. My mother had the same breakfast with overhard eggs. She had asked for white bread, as she does not eat multigrain bread. Her eggs was very peppery too, so she could not eat them. Overall, it was an okay breakfast. A lot of my disappointment was over being given the regular menu, which looked great, and then having to settle for the brunch. The brunch only started in May so it was an honest mistake but the breakfast was not great anyway. If I return to Ottawa, I might call ahead to make sure I know which menu before going.

Quality food made with tender loving care, ever since Nordstrom opened years ago. The menu is small, but yet simple, with interesting dishes.Service is quick and professional. I always love coming here.

Bazille is cute little restaurant located inside Nordstrom on the second floor. I went on Mother's day weekend and it was a treat because they had a brunch menu instead of their regular one that morning. The service was my only issue it was extremely slow just because of how busy it was that day. I ordered the 3 egg with vegan chorizo, this came with potatoes and toast on the side. Everything was delicious, I've never had vegan chorizo before and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor it had, it was a little salty for my taste but still great. The potatoes I would've skipped on, not much flavour I've had better breakfast potatoes other places. My friend got the artichoke dip and a side of fries, the fries were the winner. Long shoestring fries that were nice and crispy. Her dip was just dripping of oil and wasn't her fav. I heard the coffee and pizza is great here but didn't get a chance to try it on this visit.

Jess made our experience the best. I have been to Bazille several times and the food is amazing, but what stood out this last time was the amount of attention and friendliness we received from Jess. She suggested amazing drink recommendations based on our preferences and customized delicious cocktails to pair with a customized pizza order. 10/10
