I was not sleeping. I was not.

Had a perfect birthday dinner for two this weekend. Sharing plates, appetizers and dinners were incredible, and the service was top notch.

Thanks!

We took the tasting menu and were not disappointed. One of the best restaurant I tried in my entire life, and definitely the best Espresso Martini I ever tasted. The service and dining room made us feel like we had a high prestige, which felt like part of the experience. Would recommend for an occasion. Definitely not a restaurant when on a strict budget.

Excellent place for a wedding reception. Small and intimate and best service. Food was delicious. A real treat.

I was not approached by any server for the first 30 minutes. When a staff member finally arrived to take my order, they seemed undertrained and unable to explain the menu properly. Feeling uncomfortable with the service, I decided to leave without ordering.

As I was exiting the building, the host stopped me and asked, “Did you pay for your tea?” despite the fact that I had only requested hot water, which I hadn’t even touched. I returned to clarify and asked whether the host had checked with the staff what had been served. Instead of addressing my question, the host responded dismissively: “If you don’t want to pay, that’s okay.”

I was outraged by this presumption. At other restaurants, being stopped at the door often leads to meaningful conversations with staff who are passionate about their work, eager to connect, and genuinely interested in ensuring an exceptional experience. This was the exact opposite: the interaction was accusatory and dismissive.

The servers lacked the training expected at an establishment of this caliber, and the host’s behavior was unacceptable. Such treatment does not align with the standards one expects from a high-end restaurant.

Loved our evening at Beckta. We did the tasting menu for our anniversary which did not disappoint. Really appreciated that the staff took my allergies into account with a bit of notice and totally adapted the tasting menu so I could enjoy it as well.

Great night at Beckta. Some innovative dishes and some great flavours... service is very laid back which can make it slow but they are letting you call the shots.

Each dish, from appetizer to duck Magret to mille-feuilles, was a combination of tastes that each stayed distinct but complemented and enhanced each other. A wonderful taste experience from a master chef. Warm and expert service by Rémi anchored the evening.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Beckta Dining & Wine

Our recent visit to Beckta was far more than just a meal—it was an experience full of grace, intention, and deeply meaningful hospitality. I surprised my aunts with an end-of-life bucket list road trip, and this dinner was a special part of that journey. Thanks to your extraordinary team, it became one of the highlights of her entire trip.

To Clay Cardillo,
Thank you for your thoughtful coordination and warmth. You made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were so kind in helping accommodate our special request. Your professionalism and genuine care were so appreciated and truly helped make the evening seamless and special. Also thank you for calling me to discuss accessibility. So wonderful there was an elevator in house!!

To Bill, our server:
You brought such kindness, charm, and attentiveness to our table. Your service struck the perfect balance of warm and respectful, celebratory yet comfortable. You made my aunt feel truly seen and celebrated, and I can’t thank you enough for that.

To Kyle and Lukas,
The food was absolutely exceptional—every plate was prepared with such care, balance, and flavour. Thank you for honouring our special request and adding a touch of pasta for my aunts. It may have seemed like a small gesture, but to both of them, it meant the world (me as well). That kind of attentiveness and personalization is rare and deeply appreciated.

To the host who greeted us (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name): Thank you for the warm and gracious welcome. Your energy helped set the tone for a beautiful evening, and we felt like we were in good hands the moment we stepped through the door.

And to the entire Beckta team—
Thank you for the beautiful birthday touch on my aunt’s parfait. It was thoughtful, elegant, and brought such joy to her face. That small moment added so much heart to an already unforgettable meal.

My one aunt has since purchased a piece of artwork to remember this journey—a tribute to every person and place who helped bring her bucket list dream to life. Each of your names is now part of that piece, woven into the story of a trip full of kindness, grace, and unforgettable moments.

Thank you for your hospitality, your heart, and your exceptional food. Beckta truly represents the best of what hospitality can be.

With deep gratitude,
Emily & Elaine & Laura

High expectations for a restaurant like Beckta. Unfortunately the food Waiting time was too long when the restaurant not full. Flat sparkling wine on a restaurant with this category is unacceptable! Im glad I enjoyed my time seeing my long time friends but the food temperature and potions were not the best. Very disappointed.

Delicious food, and none of the miniscule portions you expect from a fine dining establishment. Beautiful historic home built into a restaurant, though some rooms are quite loud when packed. We were celebrating a birthday and the kind waiter gave us a lovely dessert wine, gratis.

Lovely dinner at Beckta. Our server Julia was exceptional. The food was delicious with a few notables: pink panther cocktail, the biscuits, the duck with a deep rich sauce, the crispy Cajun cauliflower. And oh, the chocolate eclair with sesame seeds embedded in a chocolate tuile.
The private room was perfect, especially if you have hearing problems in restaurants.
