Valentine's Day menu was a tasting menu. Fantastic food, really interesting flavours, tastes and textures. Definitely a different food experience and absolutely delicious. Wine pairings were brilliant. Servers were courteous and friendly without excess. Ambience was nice and humble, quiet and gentle. All in all, a pretty perfect Valentine's Day experience.
Beckta is a very special place in the Ottawa dining scene. A welcoming and warm dining experience with food that is an absolute delight. The meal presentation left me with a sense of beautiful art which was followed by taste sensations that are incomparable. I had the lamb shank; tender and flavours that are delightful. Our server, Bill is a true professional. My wife uses a support device for walking and Beckta installed a hydraulic lift to assist people with mobility challenges....
What a joy to go to Beckta, good friends, great food, the chance to sit and talk and hear each other! Interesting food choices, great wine offerings - suggested by our knowledgeable server - and some interesting non-alcoholic options too. A wonderful evening spent with friends. Thank you! (We missed seeing Mr. Beckta, but his team was great!)
