This place is a great authentic Chinese experience. The food was delicious and the pricing was very reasonable.

This was our first time eating here. We both enjoyed the decor. We were served quickly and the food came pretty fast and hot. The spring rolls and deep fried crab claw were amazing! The remainder of our dishes were very savoury and we stuffed ourselves. Easy to find and lots of parking, and friendly staff. We will return!

I’ve been to a lot of Chinese restaurants and this was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while! The service and recommendations by our server, Carol were quite helpful and nice. The platters were big and one plate and portion is probably enough for two people. Best authentic Chinese for the locals. 👍🏼

Some friends I was with enjoyed the dim sum but my friend and I who can't eat gluten weren't impressed with the stir-fry that we ordered. We'd been assured that the restaurant had gluten-free options, they particularly recommended the stir-fries in that regard, but the dish was tasteless. We also were asked if we'd like to get the dish at the same time that the others got theirs, which of course we agreed to, but ours arrived at least 15 minutes after that of the others. I appreciate that it can be difficult to accommodate dietary restrictions but I think that if you tell people that you can make gluten-free options you should be able to make ones that are worthy of restaurant fare, that are as enjoyable as those of others.
Beijing Legend boasts a diverse dim sum menu, yet the quality of the food consistently fell short of expectations. Many dishes lacked authentic flavor and, in some cases, tasted inferior to commercially prepared frozen options. Service was also unsatisfactory, with order inaccuracies and a confusing system for tracking orders. Furthermore, the waitstaff lacked the necessary knowledge to assist customers with dietary restrictions, particularly regarding vegetarian options.

My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times with my in-laws, and we’ve always been impressed with both the food and the price, especially for dinner. This time, we went for lunch and enjoyed the dim sum menu, which was also quite good.
A tip: they only serve egg tarts on the weekends, so don’t forget to try them!
Some items, like the egg tarts and bean curd, were excellent, but I wasn’t as impressed with the Ha Gow.
Despite that, I would definitely return whenever I'm in Ottawa.

It tastes really bad. Really, really, really, really don’t come here. All the dishes I ordered were so bad that they were like dishwashing dishes.

I ordered a duck, and as soon as it was served, I saw the hair on the duck skin. It was disgusting. I told the waiter that I couldn't return it, and he had a bad attitude. The other dishes were all terrible. The cumin mutton felt like it had been hit by a car, not as good as Liu Gong's grilled fish. No wonder the rating is low. Please close down soon and never come again. It’s disgusting.

Dim sum is good for Ottawa standards, same with the dishes. Speedy, courteous service particularly if you know the ins and outs of a typical Chinese restaurant. Not the best I've had, but good attempt at the more authentic Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine. If you as a diner don't know the difference, and if you want to order combos of chicken balls, egg rolls, sweet and sour ribs with chicken fried rice, etc., I'd say you mind as well go to a Chinese take out restaurant that has no seating. This place has better traditional Chinese cuisine than Westernized Chinese food.

Insane amount of grit in my teeth trying to eat the pork ribs. Also ordered the peking duck which was somehow dry while greasy, and also lacking taste. Shanghai noodles had egg noodles that looked like bowtie pasta. The canned iced tea was indeed a can of iced tea, but more expensive than the rest of the canned drinks without being any larger. Terrible and will make sure no one I know ever goes to this restaurant.
