Best brunch place in town. The Belmont has become my wife and I’s church. We are here every weekend and if we can’t come, life just isn’t the same. Shoutout Kate and Nicole.

Visited for the first time recently for breakfast. The sausage patty and potatoes were very good, however the eggs were overcooked, and some items were cold and/or oversalted. The service was outstanding (friendly and very attentive), however its pretty snug and loud due to the small size of the restaurant.

Really like this place. I've gone on a few dates here. Tasty small plates and interesting selection of wine and cocktails.

Love the vibe. We’ve had brunch and dinner here and it’s a really fun hip spot. I wish they had more veggie options.

Consistently serving up some of the tastiest dishes Ottawa has to offer. The menu is ever changing - always creative and perfectly executed. Atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and casual in the best way possible. I have nothing but good things to say about this place - a must try!

While a tad sad that the halloumi wasn't on the menu and Adam wasn't behind the bar, it was a lovely evening at the Belmont as always. Hands down one of my favourite spots in the city to eat at. Can't recommend it enough to people.

Overall, all 4 of us said it was “okay”, not worth going back for. The place to start is chilly even sitting away from the door. One person in my group said they wish the heat was turned on since it's snowing. The food was mediocre- nothing came out hot. I asked for my eggs not to be runny and then my mom's plate also came with scrambled eggs. Teas were brought luke warm. The waitress forgot to bring the cocktail to our table, later forgot to bring the beer but was kind to offer a taster, then forgot to bring a knife when serving jam with toast. Polite staff but not efficient. Beef in the huevos rancheros was hard for us, the meat served in the full Belmont was hard too (one person didn't eat it). Nothing delicious about any of the 4 plates. Simply mediocre. Since all of us said going back to our cars it's not worth returning again, I can't recommend it.

Unsuspecting, walked in on Friday night and sat at the bar! Had a steak tartare and it was delicious - fine dining level in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Great service and cocktails. Highly recommend! The brunch looks amazing too.

Great food, super tasty and good sized portions. Service was very attentive, constantly refilling coffee. This was a second visit as had a great first experience. However, after this visit will be booking elsewhere for a meal. We were a group of 4 and we felt very rushed and we were asked to leave as soon as our bill was paid (only sitting for an hour) despite other available tables and no visible customers waiting at door.

Visited The Belmont for Sunday brunch, arriving at 10:45 amidst a bustling crowd. Despite the fun, lively atmosphere, and friendly service, our dining experience was quite disappointing. The poached eggs were tasty. They were accompanied by a salad, biscuit, and potatoes, the overall flavour was lacking. The potatoes were particularly bland, relying on hot sauce and ketchup for taste. My husband and I noticed the strange tanginess of the salad, which we thought was the dressing... and soon discovered soggy, and even rotten greens, prompting us to notify our server. While she handled the situation graciously, stating it could be due to too much dressing, she replacing the salad. However, the replacement was marred by the same issue, with a significant portion of lettuce being spoiled and slimy. I had to pick through the salad to get the edible pieces.. but didn't want to look like a jerk and complain again... I felt like I was in a simulation because the guys next to us were raving about it and didn't seem to notice how rotten it was LOL. How did they not notice?!It's so disappointing to go out and spend 65$ on brunch for two (food, coffee, and an oj) for it to be lacking in flavour and rotten... unfortunately it left much to be desired and we will not be returning.

Incredible brunch if you can get in. The fining room is so small that you're almost guaranteed to nor get in... but if you're lucky then you'll really enjoy the food.

Honestly the best brunch I've had in Ottawa. The full Belmont had this homemade sausage, delicious scone, incredible homemade beans, and great potatoes, eggs, and bacon. Ask for hebenor sauce they make it in house and we bought a bottle - so good if you like spicy! The French toast....unreal! Can't even describe the flavors. It was perfect.Check them out - service was great too. Got in without a reservation and got seated at the bar right away. Didn't feel rushed to leave which was a nice change!

What an amazing restaurant! Very unique for Ottawa and my new favourite in the city. Each dish was exquisite and there was enough with 3 dishes for 2 of us to have as dinner. The selection of wine and cocktails was very good. Our server was 10/10. Friendly, yet intimate atmosphere. So glad The Belmont survived the pandemic. Thank you.

My friends and I made a reservation at the restaurant last Sunday. Very nice restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and originality of the dishes on the menu. A bit of everything: plantains, chilli, Turkish omelettes. I'll definitely be going back! The service was also very pleasant, but the general atmosphere in the room was a little noisy (not the place to have a quiet meal or date). Very small too, but all in all the meal was worth it! Nice presentation too, Kudo to the Chef!
