Small portions and High prices.
Went here for lunch. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a sandwich with coleslaw. The sandwich was thin, small and unsatisfying. Disappointing for the high price of 27.50 it came with a side of coleslaw, the only coleslaw I've ever heard of in a poppyseed dressing which was not what I expected and not what I like.
I would not recommend eating here. Go to booster juice instead for larger sandwiches with better flavours for $9
On the bright side the beer was great.

I always stop in at Big Rig Kitchen & Brewery for breakfast before my flights out of Ottawa. It’s become a small ritual, one last calm moment before the airport chaos begins.
I had the eggs Benedict, and as always, they were spot on. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise smooth and rich, and the potatoes crisp enough to make you forget you’re about to spend hours in the sky. The coffee was hot, the service friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed, exactly what you want at 6 a.m. in an airport.
There’s something quietly comforting about a place that’s consistently good. You sit alone, watch the planes roll by, and for a few minutes, everything feels in order.
Five stars from a frequent flyer who starts every journey here, because some traditions are worth keeping.

I had the fish tacos. I very rarely say something is bad, they are bad. All batter, next to no fish, cold and the filling was coleslaw. Bleh!! Even the two wedges of lime had not a drip of juice. Never again.
The beer was good.

Food was good. Service is AWFUL. So inattentive, having to chase them down for the bill and to order more things. Staff was extremely rude and blasé. I only left a tip for the bartender and the server had the audacity to THROW the reciept on the table after seeing the low tip… after providing awful service. I was standing for 15 min until I was seated and another 15 to actually order. Bartender was fabulous though. Overall don’t come here… bitter old people who want to do the least and expect the most.

Service is poor, and inattentive. This place provides a muddy window into Canada for visitors. Competition needed!
Restaurantji Recommends
I went here in my stop over the server/bartender Dini I think there name was. They were amazing. I work in restaurants and I’d hire them. They made great recommendations on food and drink. While the club could be better.

Lots of open tables. Waited over 10 minutes with zero acknowledgment or service. Ended up leaving as figured service would be equally as slow. I guess if you have maybe 2+ hours to wait try it out as there’s really no other option in this airport

Awful. The food is bland and low quality. The cheese on the burger is Kraft singles. I think that describes this place perfectly. Fake. Service was unfriendly and slow. Very slow for the amount of customers they had.

Decent view of the runway and staff were friendly. Let's talk about the food and drinks though. The beer was flat in a cup that seemed a little small for the price and I was thinking I should say something about the flatness but then I didn't and now here I am like a coward writing this review. We also had a Caesar and it was a shame to Caesars with the skinniest saddest bean, no celery or anything else, and a 20$ price tag. Then I noticed the beer glass I was drinking out of was dirty with what looked like dirt on the rim. I wasn't drinking out of that side at least. The wings were aight. But no wet nap. The sun was in my eyes the whole time too but I will not blame big rig for that.
