Great coffee shop and it has been my go to for the past several years now. Strangely of late they seem to be understaffed as on numerous occasions I’ve gone in to see only one person working, managing the cash and preparing all the coffee orders. Very, very slow.
Service is bad. I asked for a suggestion on what to add to my tasteless iced coffee, where they, started to argue, rather than just providing a suggestion of sweeteners/ flavors. Then later, I was shocked by how they kept laughing and mocking my request as I was sitting near by still. Happy my coffee was saved. But now angry about this unrespectiful and childish behavior. They need to be disciplined.

Bridgehead at Bank and Second is a great spot to stop for a hot beverage and some people watching! This is a clean, bright location with lots of amenities nearby, making it an easy choice for a quick stop.
The staff are very warm and welcoming, and patient!
Seating can be a bit limited at times, however, you can usually get a spot if you look around the corner :)

Since company policy is to take the minimum wage workers tips and share it with management to shore up their salaries then head office has no care or respect for these workers and that means I will take my business down the street to Starbucks
Averagely made Chai latte and Latte.
Let’s start with the good. Great coffee here. If you’re here for just a black coffee or a latte, then you’ll have a great experience.
Save your stomach space when it comes to food. Recently I’ve had the banana chip muffin, croissant, and chocolate chip cookie. All are exceedingly average. It feels like I’m eating food for fuel, rather than flavour. I’d liken the baked goods to the taste of Costco.
Least of all I have to mention the breakfast wraps. There used to be a sausage breakfast wrap which was extraordinary. However they have removed it since. The rest of the wraps have gotten smaller, and more expensive. The wraps aren’t bad, but the trajectory of the quality, size, price is disappointing.

Me and my husband enjoy our coffee/tea here about twice a week. We like that the menu is not too overwhelming and coffee/tea are always good. The atmosphere is not loud so it’s a great place to get some work done on your tablet, read, or catch up with a friend The bathrooms are always clean and there’s also a baby changing table which is a huge plus! I was impressed to see the staff provide a warm shelter to our friends who live in the streets even for just a moment. Nice to see humans being good humans!
While the drinks are good here (like at any other Bridgehead), there are a lot of flies and fruit flies at this location. A fruit fly fell into my drink while I was adding sugar and I kept having to brush away flies as I was sitting at a table drinking. It made the atmosphere very uncomfortable for working or chatting to a friend.

My least favorite coffee experience in Ottawa.I ordered an iced caramel latte and an iced chai latte. I haven’t tasted coffee this weak at any cafe before. The coffee from the coffee machine at home is 100% better…Sorry to say it but feel like I wasted my money here.. will never come back….
This Bridgehead location feels like it's missing something.
Something about the atmosphere and environment feels off, and I can't quite pinpoint what that is.
When I ordered, I said "Hello" to the cashier and she just stared at me without saying anything. We stared at each other for a few moments, it was very awkward. I was waiting for her to say something back to me, but she never did. So I proceeded to tell her I would like to have a coffee.
What an odd experience.
Coffee was good though.
