I went there for a piece of carrot cake. It was fresh and reasonably priced, in addition to being packaged nicely in a little cardboard box. The only criticism I have is that it was too heavy on the cloves for my taste. This didn't stop me from eating the whole piece, however.

After a bike ride we decided to stop for coffee and dessert. The young lady was very welcoming and enjoyed a conversation with her. I would recommend this place to stop and relax after a bike ride or walk, the only thing I would suggest is to change the outdoor benches for some better sitting ,, overall very nice place

Britannia Bake Shop never disappoints! The sweet baked goods are always phenomenal, and somehow never too sweet. The almond croissant and pecan bars are my personal favourite! The savoury baked goods (like the pizza danish) are delicious as well

I always read the bad reviews first before going to a place, and the bad reviews here were just snooty vegans complaining about not having vegan-friendly options - how on-brand for the average vegan 😂 a negative review based on absolutely no relevance. ANYWAYS…
We tried a bunch of stuff - I particularly enjoyed the feta and spinach pastry, it was amazing. As well as the sticky buns were just perfect and surprisingly not too sweet and not at all dry. The amount of cinnamon was impeccable as well as the amount of chopped pecans. I can see myself coming back for these buns. My husband is a carrot cake junkie and he loved the carrot cake. Personally I found the chocolate croissant to have too much powdered sugar on top and too much confectioners chocolate glaze - it was too sweet but that’s my personal preference when it comes to croissants - I prefer more of a European croissant. The danish was very good but again a little too sweet, personal preference. The quality of the pastries was very good, and fresh. I liked the decor and I actually liked how small the shop is as well as the old school retro vibes. There was cute but limited seating outside. Overall it was very good and the sticky buns were something else. 🤤
Delicious treats at this delightful little neighbourhood bakery. Today I bought a pecan square and a sticky bun with lots of nuts as a little pick-me-up for me and my husband. Very yummy — decadent and homey at the same time. There are also gourmet items and breads. Right near Britannia Beach and park and the multi-use trail along the Ottawa River. A great place to enjoy the outdoors and have a treat!

Fantasic bakery! Apparently the only people with something to complain about are vegans and the lady with a cinnamon aversion. The vegan ratings should be removed, as they obviously haven't tried any of the product. Everything I have purchased from this shop has been absolutely delicious, and the carrot cake is insane. The moment I set eyes on it I knew it was special and was not disappointed! Love at first bite!
