I saw some review that said “best pecan butter tart” so I got one of their pecan butter tarts and it wasn’t good at all. Actually it was one of the worst butter tarts I’ve ever had. Way too sweet and just not good. The baker was an Asian man around 60 years old and the butter tart crust tasted the same as those Asian egg tarts. The chocolate chip cookie was average or worse and the cinnamon bun I barely remember. This place is 3/5 in my opinion.

This is a Centretown fixture, for good reason.

That cranky old guy wouldn’t sell me a thing when I was surprised that croissants of the same size cost twice as much. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Maybe it’s time for him to head to the garden of shadows. He tired of people.

Fantastic place. Amazing owners and amazing baked goods. Highly recommend their loaves of bread & croissants.
The owners work hard and it shows in their products.

The butter tarts were very good and the butter croissants were decent. Will have to try the other types of croissants if they haven’t run out yet near lunch
Some of the best croissants I’ve ever had. All of the people that work there are some of the nicest people. I don’t know what the low reviews claiming that the old man is rude are going on about. He’s the kindest man you’ll ever meet. He remembers me every time I go, and I’m far from a regular. He always remembers what I like!
Very sweet owner and the baked goods were reasonably priced and very tasty!
Friendly staff, best for its bread
Ive been coming here since I was little and it has always stayed my favourite bakery! The owner is so kind and outgoing. My favourite dessert are the green tea cookies!

This is my favourite bakery in the downtown core! The breads, croissants and cheese buns are so good. It hits the mark every time! The owners are very kind as well, which is always nice to see. I highly recommend you take the time to visit and support this business.
Great neighbourhood bakery run by the nicest man. I pick up bread here on weekends - every kind I’ve tried has been delicious. Croissants are also very good.
This is my favourite bakery in the city, I love to stop by for a fresh pastry or baguette- often so fresh they are still warm!! And the owner is very kind. Can't recommend it enough.
Went in for a second time after enjoying the croissant (albeit he doesn’t warm them up even though they’re not fresh). I went to pay with my Amex and the owner (old oriental man) started screaming at me like a child. Then he went in the back and ignored me like I wasn’t standing there. First time in my life I’ve seen someone 70 years old act like he’s 7.
He needs to seriously learn some respect, 0 class, surprised it’s still in business with how decrepit and disgusting shape the store is in.
The man working at this bakery was incredibly cocky and rude. He actually yelled at us for asking a simple question and made it very clear he didn’t want to serve us. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful — it felt like we were inconveniencing him just by walking in. There are plenty of bakeries that actually want customers — do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
